Default Software updates for your C7

I went in to get the PDR software update last Wednesday.

Thanks to this forum, I knew other software updates were available so I asked them update the Transmission (A8), Infotainment System and Climate Control as well as the PDR.

My initial observations:
The issue with the first 1-2 shift of the day has been addressed
The sound system not only works smoother, it sounds better
The color balance of the PDR images is improved
The climate control now keeps the interior more comfortable.

In my opinion, if you are considering having this done, do it. It is worth the time and effort.

Is there a TSB on this change?
What was done.

I know of the PDR TSB, but what about the others listed, ie A8 Transmission; Infotainment system.

So, is there a master list of these software updates somewhere one can view, with dates of the latest updates?

Really, really satisfied with the way things are working right now, so hesitant to fix something that isn't broken.

Thanks for the info. I have a Februrary '15 build, and am aware of the PDR and A8 updates, but didn't know about the sound system/climate control. Any numbers for those?

Went to the dealer to get up-dates and was told would not recommend doing unless having issues due to the relearning, so I well hold out for now due to no issues.

Could you explain the 1-2 shift issue, Don't think I am having any problem but maybe I am and do not know it. I have a early build 09-15-14.

The issue that I was having with the 1-2 shift was that when I would first start the car, the 1-2 shift would hesitate, then shift hard. Didn't mind the hard shift but the hesitation kind of sucked. Nothing major, but seems to be fixed now.

I do not know what the TSB numbers are but can post the software program numbers or the OP-Code from my service ticket if that would help anyone.

Here are the things that I noticed were "lost" in the upgrades:
Had a favorite set for home on the navigation system - seems to have been lost
Phone no longer paired with the system

Nothing that was important to me - but they seem to have been lost in the process.

Do you have the TSB #s for each of these re flashes? It might be on the paperwork. The numbers would be very helpful.

Sure is. When I decide to do these updates I'm going to talk to my service mgr and the lead Corvette tech prior to making the actual appointment, show them the references listed above and make sure they know what they're doing before I leave the car with them.

Thanks everyone for the UPDATES!!!!

I had the PDR update done yesterday. Clearity is much better and I didn't care for the valet sound recording anyways. You can't use the voice in court in my state so that's why they removed it. Plus the fact that I live in Michigan and it's illegal to wire tap someone without consent of both parties so they can actually sue me for it.

Example--someone were to do something stupid in my car while on Valet mode(crash it, burnout,---misc), I would have a case against them with video. If I would record the audio portion, it would cause me problems and get thrown out. I would get sued for illegal wire tap instead of him paying for damages to car.

"Currently, about a dozen states require two-party (or all-party) consent for audio recording. The other states require only one-party consent, which effectively makes the Valet Mode PDR system legal to use as currently implemented. The states requiring two-party or all-party consent are: California, Connecticut, Florida, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Montana, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Washington (state); in Illinois, Michigan, and Nevada the matter can be complicated, depending on the context or circumstances."

PDR Update: PI1493
Op-Code 2811005 Updated programming 2811005.4 ma 0590 6589

Thanks BOBSZ06 for the info on it.

I also had the transmission clutch updates done too.

Trans shift update completed.
A8 Update: PI1473 (document ID 4162003) and is dated May 5, 2015.
