Runner717, like you I'm playing the waiting game and I think I have even less hair than when I started!

I can't wait for her to come back so I can finally take my place in the Hole In the Hood Club!

Plus its a numbers game, I'd bet 85 percent of those cars are rarely driven.
I'm just A messenger here. Why do ya think Callaway gives the warranty.
Many owners wouldn't get the SC installed without it.I have been hearing
Rear Main seals leaking and Pistons discinegrating.I just know the LT4 is built for it.Also with the SC will the engine last 100000-200000 miles?

Nothing wrong with getting a warranty and going with Callaway package but to say the LT1 is not capable of more HP and longevity is simply an opinion and not based on facts.

I think it was LMR that had a 900 RWHP LT1 running with stock internals that they used as a test mule then sold it to someone in Hawaii and it's still going strong.

Will my engine last 100k with ~700 RWHP and stock internals? Probably not but this car will be long gone before I even hit 60k miles.

Just for the sake of clarity, the Callaway warranty is for the first 3 years or 36 miles as of time of purchase. If you have a Corvette that is already a year old with 12k miles and you then get the Callaway package, you only get 2 years or 24k miles, whichever comes first.

I do believe if you have a qualified tuner you can get more than 3 years and 36k miles out of the motor. Sure, some engines may blow up before then but so do a few non modded engines. Yes, it's a risk to make these changes but some feel it's worth the risk.

Just one more item on your statement above... Seals were blowing out on early C7 Supercharged engines due to the tune, not due to any shortcomings of the LT1.

Well their 2010 GS with LS3 has 205k miles on it. You be the judge.

Default Someone wanted pics...

Earlier in the post someone was asking for pics of a Callaway. Here are a few of mine. I added the Double D exhaust and I have to admit it's a must!

I've been thinking Callaway for my 2015 Stingray A8. I don't have the Z51 package. Any concerns/considerations regarding non-Z51 cooling, oil pump, etc?

Beautiful car! I'm jealous!

So the HP on this is 627 with the Callaway conversion. Does that include long tube headers or is this through the stock exhaust manifolds? Can you add other options to the car that Callaway doesn't have listed like the APR carbon fiber Z06 kit? (APR Z06 front lip spoiler, side skirts, and rear spoiler). Just curious.

We've built a few w/ the non-Z51 config. without issues. One was one of the first ones delivered, over a year ago.

Long tube headers, or any emissions defeat device, is against the Clean Air Act of 1990. As such, we will not install. The fines are huge, when the hammer falls.

Anyways, we've worked with customers to install some front splitters and rocker extensions, and rear spoilers. Best to contact us first with your specific requests. Thanks.
