If all that you are doing is putting up another faux carbon fibre sticker over the original spot, why even remove the old government sticker and risk damaging the visor. Just attach the CF sticker over the original one.
But seriously, who cares about a visor sticker. When I bought my 11 GS someone had tried to take the driver's side sticker off but left the passenger one on. The way the driver's side looked after his butchered attempt, was worse than the sticker. I ended up replacing the entire visor, with the sticker on it, to match the passenger side.
I hate to add to the pile of "WTF?", but this is what is should look like with the micro-suede.
Did you actually damage the visor taking it off? Because, if you didn't, it may still be salvageable. I'm not sure what the white fibers are.
If I could have gotten mine off and look like yours, would never have done the stickers. I used a dryer and 3m adhesive remover and never got anything other than wrinkled corners. The stickers are not coming off the micro suede with taking the fabric with them. GM changed something and made this much more difficult.
You just spent $70 - $100K on a beautiful C7 Corvette so why not spend $300 and have the visors professionally recovered in leather or suede by a professional auto upholstery vendor if the stickers bother you that much and you can't remove them without damage?

Please do not presume to know how to best spend my money. It might not have occurred to you that avoiding frivolous spending is how I was able to afford a Ford GT and now a Z06. Buying one does not lend credence to spending further.

First, my post wasn't in response to your post but rather addressing the OP who apparently butchered his visors.
Second, I'm not presuming anything. I provided a common sense suggestion as an option to messing up sun visors which will probably cost half as much to fix or cover with fake CF panels. Perhaps you and I just define frivolous spending differently.

Ok, ok. Perhaps it was not intended the way I took it. Internet is bad for that. Apologies.
I used plain black vinyl with the crossed flags logo rather than the fake CF. It looks better to me than the bright yellow and white warning decals. I would have preferred to just peel them and have just the suade showing like the pic above but that did not work out. $10 for the decals was an inexpensive and decent looking fix. It was not a big deal until I mucked up the warning decal trying to get it off.
My understanding is the European cars don't have those stickers. If that is the case, someone could have a nice business importing and selling the European spec visors to those who want the stickers gone.
I spent hours with the hair dryer and fingers to pry loose the decal with no success. Then with the use of other tools I found the answer.
Its probably not for everyone, but wife is happy.
Love it!
Even though I never, ever look at my visors and get my panties in a wad, I do think I'd notice if you did this to them.
To the OP - I don't know if you're kidding or not, but those pictures look absolutely hideous. I would have to replace the entire visor after screwing them up that bad.
Is this for real? With so many other options out there, why on earth would you do that?
Yes it is/was real. I applied heat, and the started to pull on a corner, and with great difficulty it started to come off, then a hunk of suede fabric also came off. This left a nice slice mark on the visor, plus the decal didn't come off. So having already ruined the visor I cut out the decal with an exacto knife. Done. I have since ordered and installed a replacement visor($200). It came with a decal as the original.
Back at square one, less $200. I have not found any matching covers in suede. So I guess I live with decals. Actually it doesn't really bother me, but navigator was pitching a fit. The fit has now stopped.
