Why do camaros always want to race and why can some of them actually keep up? I have the 2014 stingray convertable with the Z51 performance package WTF. this is my first Vette am I doing something wrong?

Don't kid yourself, the v8 Camaro's are very quick. Your car is faster but I can tell you from experience on an 8th mile drag strip there is less than 1 second difference. Obviously, the longer the race the larger the spread. There are other fast cars out there.

I got nothing I need to prove to Camaro owners. ...and I don't street race. Generally I pay no attention to Camaros.
Motor Trend has already proven C7 faster than Camaro. If someone has a modified Camaro I don't care if it's faser.

Camaro's and Mustangs.....you can see them "zig zagging" to catch up to you in your rear view once they see you or you blow by them unintentionally....evryone wants to "sleigh a dragon" so they can brag on it.....slow and show my friends those that now show respect and they do .....

Most of the newer high performance cars are very close in performance especially if a race is impromptu. AC running, Tour rather than sport mode etc. can make race very close or even invert a sure winner. If one car is modded, that can surly change the dynamic
As mentioned prior I personally do not need to prove a thing to anyone else.
If one is into "measuring *****'" when they are out driving, then an investment in some performance modifications would certainly be in order to add that one extra inch.

They can ALL be FI'd. My plain jane 2007 LS2 Z51 Convertible had an Edelbrock SC on the top of the engine. It put down 550 RWHP. It would have given you pangs of inadequacy too.
You do not have a race car. You have a faster than most car but unless you want to play with the big boys, you're not gonna hang with EVERY car. Hellcat, Z06, ZL1, anything with forced induction, etc. So, go get a blow job!
