[QUOTE=C7cmnthru;1590282508]As a point of reference, only the brownstone interior with all leather seats has suede door inserts and console cover.

I have a 15 3LT DSOM/Brownstone and that's the way it is.

Deciding between 2LT with navigation and 3LT was the toughest decision I had to make when ordering my '15 coupe. While there's no question that the black 3LT interior is very nice, so is the 2LT. Both use genuine stitched materials that have a rich look and feel. Even though the material used on the 2LT dash, door panels, and center console is man-made, it's still of excellent quality and it doesn't seem at all "fake" to me. It largely becomes a matter of whether one prefers the smooth texture of the 3LT or the slight grain of the 2LT, at least that was how I saw it. I've always maintained that if you showed both interiors to a group of people who knew nothing about them, they'd be able to tell the differences but they wouldn't be able to tell which was the more expensive choice. That in no way takes away from the 3LT - it just reinforces how good the 2LT is.
My upholstery guy who has 40 years experience including Pebble Beach Concours cars, looked at my black 2lt and said the dash and door panel material is man made and is called bonded leather. It is made from real leather scraps and shavings bonded to a substrate. Therefore his opinion was that it is real leather and he felt it was very nice. When you order black there is a very small difference in quality between the two options. Especially when you factor in the money. My dealer orders all black interior cars with the 2lt option. If you want another color that changes things.

And leather conditioner will do nothing in conditioning your seats. Most modern leather car seats have a plastic or similar coating to protect the leather. The conditioner will not penetrate to condition. Just clean per the owners manual. Just an fyi.
My Brownstone interior has the above.

Well my 2LT car came in. The only surprises I had with mine were the suede shift **** and boot. Thought they would be leather.

Where my car is an automatic and I won't be touching the **** that often, it doesn't bother me. I like the look a lot, I just don't care for the feel of it. Now if the steering wheel was suede, I would not be happy!

2LT is GM code for "Hey, guys, we've got a live one."

3LT is GM code for "Good God! It's party time tonight!"

Kevin - I thought I was the only one that got the sueded shift **** & boot, as a weird little mistake at the factory!

I too have the suede seat inserts on a 3LT black interior, so maybe this is some unannounced 'running change' for 2016's ordered w/sueded GT seats...

I didn't want the suede on the steering wheel, anyway. So this combination actually worked out fine in my case - just wish they would use the same contrasting stitching as the rest of the interior...

I especially wanted the red on the dash.

I have had the 2LT and the 3LZ.

The 3 is much better feeling IMO.

I ordered 1st C7 second one had 3 by chance.

Now I would only want a 3.

Yes, I would have liked a suede steering wheel (N26). However, I knew to get that I would have to get the (AE4) Competition Sport bucket seats.

To add some more information here are the available suede options in order of increasing suede coverage.

1LT: No suede for you
2LT & 3LT with no suede option selected: A-piller, sun visors and headliners will be suede
Suede Inserts: All of the above plus the seat inserts, shifter and shifter boot will be suede.
Suede Inserts with Competition Seats: All of the above plus a suede wrapped wheel.
Brownstone or Jet Black Suede Design Package (2016 only): All of the above plus the door arm rests, center console lid, the area wrapping above the gauge cluster and around the passenger air vents will be suede.

I'm not 100% on this but I believe the 2015 3LZ Z06 with suede inserts and comp seats comes standard with the all of the suede included in the Jet Black Suede Design Package

I was also pleasantly surprised when I got it! I wasn't going to complain. There is no mention of it in the order guide either so no way that I would have really known. At any rate, I was thrilled but I wish I could get the sueded steering wheel without get the competition seats.

So wait you ordered the red/yellow stitching and the wheel has grey stitch? I hope that's a mistake as it would be ugly and I ordered the red stitch. I don't know why it wouldn't match since they use red stitch on the wheel for the red interior.

If you get 36S or 38S the wheel has the same stitching. Below is my 36S.

Great, I couldn't imagine they wouldn't match the stitching with the rest of the car.

Not exactly - - what I ORDERED was Jet Black 3LT interior with the extra-cost suede insert seats. That means that ALL stitching should be contrasting silver/light grey.

But I ended up with this new (and unannounced) addition of the suede on the shifter&boot as well, and GM ONLY makes those parts available currently with BLACK stitching.
SO - I believe that no matter what stitching you order for your interior, if you get the suede shifter&boot, it will always have jet black stitching.

It's really a minor issue with my car since I didn't pay extra for a unique stitching color like Kevin did.

One correction for your list above - -

Ordering the 3LT package is the ONLY way to get suede on the "A-pillars, sun visors and headliners", even if you order suede seat inserts with 2LT (there are no suede options available w/1LT...).

ALSO - that suede does not just stop at the A-pillars. Here is the exact option description from the 2016 Order Guide:
RPO Code = IWE - - Sueded Microfiber-Wrapped Upper Interior Trim Package, includes headliner, visors, trim above windshield and rear window, A-pillar trim and area around quarter window

So, unless you order your 3LT with a transparent roof, microfiber suede will cover the inside roof panel headlining, all pillars and the entire upper greenhouse...

If you get 3LT, you shouldn't have to pay extra for suede insert seats. I know I didn't and the order guide says that with 3LT you can choose either. Also, if you do it on Corvette.COM it won't add a cost.

It is odd that they wouldn't match stitching even if you didn't order 36S or 38S. I could have sworn that I saw red stitching on the shifter on other pictures for a 2015 (36S & 38S were new options for 2106). They did stitch my stick shift with yellow.
