Mass is a state that allows diminished value. I would put the insurance company on notice that you intend to go for every penny of DM possible. That might make them rethink totaling the car.

Massachusetts is a diminished value state, which means you may be entitled to the diminished value of your vehicle after an auto accident. The statute of limitation on diminished value claims in Massachusetts is 3 years, and Massachusetts does not have uninsured motorist coverage for diminished value. You can't submit a Massachusetts diminished value claim if you were the at-fault party in an accident, or if the damage was caused by something other than a collision.

Sorry have no contacts, my tech expertise is welding not collision repair. In that regard GM requires the use of a special MIG process, called Pulsed MIG Welding and not every body shop would invest in this expensive welder or the training to use it. There should be a way to find out who is certificated to repair a C7 frame. I'd start by asking a large dealer.

Your is greatly appreciated. Really good pics I'm sure I'll need them for comparison when the shop a big dealer in Pembroke Pines Florida member of Autonation will tear it down "hopefully" to see structure damage. Still curious why none of the air bags deployed.
Probably due to the car going under the first car as a posed to a contact with the bumper. Thanks again.

I understand that diminished value payment from the other party, at fault driver's insurance company is permitted in ALL states.

I have a friend, who was rear ended while driving his new 2016 Z06 Convertible home just after taking delivery. Car had 9 miles on it, and sustained over $11,000 in damages. The tub was cracked, and was replaced in completing the repairs. He now has the Z06 home, and is in the process of seeking diminished value compensation from the at fault driver's insurance company.
