Max G's Photographic Evidence
I took advantage of the GM Spring Mountain 2 day program. I drove a car identical to mine: A 2015 Z51 with A8, with stock Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires, except this was a coupe and mine is a vert. On 2nd day, they put one of their professional drivers behind the wheel. I had my SD chip in the PDR. We did 2 laps, and on virtually every corner he pegged the "G" Meter at 1.25 G's. I have the session on my computer and will attach a screen print. Please note max "G's" was 1.29. And the driver wasn't even pushing the limit! Hell, he was steering with one hand, talking, and using his right hand to show me gas pedal position.

I also chose the Z51 because of its feel, not for ultimate performance. Lesser performing cars than either the base or Z51 Stingray are already too fast/capable for the road. I drove the base car and did not care for the floaty chassis feel. It reminded me of past base C5 and C6 Corvettes. I also wanted the shorter gear ratios. For me, the Z51 was a no-brainer.

that depends, you got an extra 10 grand laying around?...big things are the e diff and everything needed to run it....then there is springs, bars, bushings, front brakes, wheels/tires, drysump, tran/diff coolers...the big things like the diff and the mag shocks you have to change wiring harnesses....
