2015 base MSRP $55,000

2016 base MSRP $55,400

Check your facts before you spout. Both increased.

Below is a screen grab from Corvette's web site.

Please notice that the MSRP's are exactly the same. (On the first you need to add the destination charge, which is automatically happening on the web site).

Please provide data that proves where you are seeing the $400 price increase so other new buyers are not confused. The data above is accurate.

Furthermore, I bet someone that bought a 1LT and got it before 7/17 could scan their window sticker to match the first image on this post.

At any rate, there is no MSRP increase on the 2016's.
Now build & price a 2015 on the web site and you'll see the $400 increase.

The OP was explicitly talking about a 2016 MY price increase on his 2016 MY order. He never references anything about a 2015 MY order.

I know this has been mentioned before, but I'm a little slow. My 2016Z was ordered May 17. It was produced June 30 and delivered July 30. As I understand, there was a price increase mid July but since my car was built prior to that time, my car should not reflect that increase. When I go to GM's website and build a Z06 equipped like mine, the total is exactly what I paid. Shouldn't mine reflect the old pricing? Thanks
How this diverged to a 2015 MY to 2016 MY price increase is beyond me and I certainly never said there wasn't a price increase from 2015 MY to 2016 MY. There was a MSRP price increase from 2015 MY to 2016 MY and then there was another dealer invoice price increase for the 2016 MY. Those are the checked facts.

I believe we have answered the OP's question regarding a dealer cost price increase and why he couldn't see it using the Corevette.COM web site build configuration as it only produces MSRP pricing.

Sorry for any confusion.

No problem. GM getting sneaky with this stealth dealer pricing, but this only affects people that were buying near invoice.

By raising dealer cost, this just seems to hurt the largest dealers the most to me. Did they think the C7 base price at $55,400 was getting to high? Why do you think GM raised prices this way?

I'm the op. Still a little slow. Still confused. Bottom line, do I go back to the dealer for an adjustment or did I pay what I was supposed to? Again, ordered 5-17, car made 6-30, picked up 7-30. I paid the window sticker price (msrp)

I am not aware of anyone getting pricing on a Z06 cheaper than MSRP since the C7's started coming out. Z06's don't get GM Supplier Discounts either.

So, since you were quoted MSRP for a 2016 Z016 and the MSRP for a 2016 did not increase you should still be paying the same you were quoted.

The dealer cost increase for 2016 (after the 2015 to 2016 MSRP increase) mainly affected those that were getting their Stingray's for under MSRP. For instance, if I would have ordered by Z51 after 7/11, then I would have wound up paying more as the dealer I was using was taking a % over dealer cost.

So, I'm pretty confident you are good to go and nothing to worry about . The for Z06's is the same as the dealers were never discounting them under MSRP (some thought they could get away with a "constraint fee" of $15K~$25K though)!

This is what Dave @ Kerbeck had to say about it.

In my 22 years here, this is the first time I've seen GM take away dealer markup from the Corvette. Over the years I've seen them take it away from every car except Corvette and Cadillac and then they took it away from every Cadillac except Escalade.
It looks like Corvette was the last of the GM cars that enjoyed such a delta between dealer cost and MSRP. So, seems like it was inevitable.

Others have stated that if/when demand dies down that the "deal" might come back.

Right now they have such a hot car I don't see that happening unless they drag out the C7 too long or the C8 is a bust.
