Received my splash guards from Gene the other day. Unbelievable, I'd like to know why GM didn't put these on at the factory. It would not have cost them $,25 more per car. As it is, I paid over $100 to replace the oem that are basically the same piece with about 1/2 inch less plastic to protect the fenders.
BTW, it's a 10 minute job to do the replacement, and I'm glad I did.
Chevy may have left them off for aerodynamic/fuel economy reasons.
Or they may have figured if they offered them as optional a certain percentage of buyers would want them and pay extra for them.
I put them on my car and like look and the extra protection.

Still waiting for my 2016 to be built/delivered but I did order the splash guards. I would have to go back and look but it seems to me they were $200. I figured every little bit helps.
The splash guards come black. These images are a DIY matching body color paint job. My cost to paint was about $10.00 since I had material/product from other C7 paint jobs.

That is an understatement . When I took delivery of my new 2016 I gave it the "baggie" test when I got it home to see if I needed to clay bar the paint. The paint was smooth as glass, it was because the car was covered so well during transport.
And I agree, don't understand why splash guards are not standard equipment.
