Agreed! I think most dudettes wouldn't bother backing a corvette into a parking spot. And I'm not hating on women drivers just putting that out there!

Yeah, the tilting mirrors are a cool idea, but... the implementation of them leaves something to be desired. As I understand it, under settings you can select the mirrors to turn down when in reverse and once done they will always tilt down when selecting reverse. However, I much more often want the mirrors to point rearward to see where I'm going and need the tilt down on rare occasions. It would be great if there was an icon on the Ifotainment screen to allow tilt when you want it rather than every time you back up. The manual says they revert to rear facing when backing up above a certain speed but it doesn't say what that speed is. Let those who drive decide.

Who keeps teaching people that the parking block is made for you to pull up on it until you hit it?

Unless i'm driving my truck, I NEVER pull all the way up..
Recall with my CJ5 loved putting it in 1st and Low and rock crawling over those in an empty mall!
Since I added my C7 CF Splitter when I need to park close, I back in and use the back-up camera. Works great.

At least the owner is not taking up multiple parking spaces.

Yep, I back up so rarely I could see myself doing this

Yeah, the tilting mirrors are a cool idea, but..

I have my "seat memory" #1 set to my normal driving position with mirrors set to cover blind spots on both sides of the car. #2 is the same except it has the mirrors tilt down and look down the sides of the car.

Exactly. My Acura SUV will slant down the mirror when the car is in reverse when the mirror selector switch is moved to the right or left position. In the center neutral position the mirrors stay put.

And why would you leave it like that?!
You'd think he's get back in and (try to) do it properly.

You'd think so .

I sure as heck wouldn't leave it like that, because you KNOW someone is going to come along and take a pic of it and plaster it all over the internet.

Hey like I said I do feel somewhat remorseful for doing that to a fellow corvette owner but I just felt bad for the car!

My question is why leave it that way? Everyone makes a gaff backing up every once in a while, but I would never walk away from my car parked like that.

Well, if that's bronze, it makes me wonder who the editor thinks won silver and gold.

Although not a C7 this may be worth a silver or gold with the revenge truck parked next to it earning extra points.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Yep. Some of us have more than one.

The way I figure, if the guy has the wherewithall to buy a $75k car he can pretty much park it however he likes.

I used to think this, as well. Until this happened.

His point was obnoxious, but well made, and a little humorous. This was mid-afternoon, in the far end of the otherwise empty parking lot.

BTW, I'm the green one.

There's always that envious jerk that has to prove a point. Which is more a reason to get your parking right so you don't draw more attention to yourself to asshats like that.

P.S. Good job green
