Track mode; push center console button twice. Mash the brake (hard like emergency stop); mash the gas quickly to floor; let stabilize at 1800 or so and POP the brake!! It works great!! First time I tried it I got a 4.5 0-60. After couple tries on different days I was consistent at 4.1/4.2 -- bets time a few weeks ago in cool weather 3.8.
I've used it a couple of times in my M7. It feels odd as the car manages it self fighting for traction but it seems to work ok. I can def see where manual throttle and clutch control would result in better acceleration though.

so it is left foot on the brake and right foot on the gas pedal?

How do you activate the timer? I've used launch control but the timer does not time it, always stays on zero. Launch Control is as easy as you said it is to use.

On the 2016 models use the PDR in performance timing mode overlay. Works great.
one of the coolest deals on these cars, just hammer the brake pedal down and mash the gas, little to no spinning and just shet's and gits
I'm the same way.I give it some gas pop the clutch,no or very minimal
Tire slip and I'm gone.
I never needed it before.I'm not going to start using it now.

Really not sure why L/C needs to go up so high, really don't need 4500 rpm or whatever in the M7. Not a big fan.
