The C7 was my first vette too, and you're going to love this car. What a great combination you chose - looks super and very unique too. I'll bet you were like a little kid again when they told you it was ready to go!
I've only got 700 miles on my C7, and now wondering if I should have ordered a vert with the racing stripe.
We spent a long time talking about colors. We were leaning towards the orange, dark red, dark blue, or light blue. We went to dealers looking to see the colors in real life (rather than just on the computer screen) but could only find the yellow on a Camaro, and thought that it was too yellow for us. But the last dealer we went to had a used C7 vert in yellow with the black stripe, and we were sold. We looked around at all of the other colors, but we kept coming back to look at the yellow one. I wouldn't have thought I would have liked it if I hadn't seen it myself. I especially like the way the stripe dives into the cabin between the seats, but the whole stripe just makes the yellow a bit more aggressive. No buyer's remorse yet.
If it were me, I would get black fish and blacken the chrome bar by the grill.
We actually were planning to get the Carbon Flash Badge Package, but we felt that against the black stripe it made the Corvette flags disappear too much. I don't know if we could have gotten just the stingray on the sides in black.
I don't have buyers remorse about the 1st Corvette that I bought either, (and that one was a brand new C-2, ordered straight from the factory.) A 64 Corvette Roadster, 327/365 motor, 4 speed close ratio trans, both tops, AM/FM radio, Etc. As a matter of fact, I still have it. Right now she's wintering next to my C-7, a 14 Corvette Roadster. A fitting car that deserves the title 'STINGRAY' again!
Congratulations!! Thanks for sharing your Stingray story with us!! I think more women would own Corvettes if their husbands would get on board with the idea.
