I have a 2015 2LT with the A8 transmission. I waited till the 2015 model came out because I wanted the A8. I have 12,000 miles and absolutely love the car but at about 10,000 I began to notice a slight shudder at highway speeds. At first I thought maybe just rough roads but now it is a definite shudder when going a steady speed. I carried it to a dealer about 1 1/2 hours away because they are the largest corvette dealer in my area and I hade all the work done on my C6 there. They kept it about a week and said it was software issues and it was fixed. On the way home it was the same problem. called the service manager and he said he needed to talk to GM about it and would call me back. When I left it there I told him I thought it was torque converter or maybe transmission. Picked it up a week ago and he still doesn't know what to do. Very frustrated with this because I bought it to drive and not sit in my garage. Anyone else have this kind of issue?
I also have a 2015 A8 and it is doing the exact same thing as yours. I noticed it at 9K miles. Look at your RPMs when you feel the shudder and you will see your RPMs move up and down everytime. Dealer said my torque converter has a bad o-ring and they have ordered a new transmission. As a side note, the dealer has two (2) C-7 A8 orders a head of mine for new transmissions with the exact same problem. The first dealer I went to said my transmission was working properly and that I had no problem. I would go to another dealer. As the 2015 A8's get around 10K miles there are going to be quite a few with these o-ring failures in the torque converter. A lot to look forward to with your 60K+ car.

Could it be the ECO mode?? Heard of similar symptoms from that. Shift into the manual toggle shift mode and see if it goes away.
The RPM'S do fluctuate when it is happening. The dealer called a few minutes ago and said it was just the active fuel management and nothing to worry about. I told him he was wrong, it is so bad I don't drive it anymore. He said to bring it back and they would "put it on our computer" it has to be a computer issue. And I never drive in ECO mode so that can't be it.
The A8 still goes into V4 mode in everything except Manual shift mode, but I think the shudder it makes might even be a tad less than the M7 cars, (which is a minor irritation at worst) so the shudder has to be something different. Maybe some sort of random TC lock up disengaging and reengaging?

Who was "First Dealer" that diagnosed "No Problem"? Who is dealer that is replacing your A8?

I was thinking once I put more miles on it the sluggish when cold problem might go away. Looks like the shudder happens with 10K miles and even when the A8 is warmed up. Good grief Chevy, come on.

Automatics are in Eco all the time, even the Z06. UNLESS you are in the manual shift mode.

It could be just the cold fluid making it feel sluggish
At 7K miles, my A8 runs great! Sure hope I don't have the issues some have had. And, for those who are dealing with the hassle, I sure hope your issues are resolved quickly.
I sure hope these A8 problems only pertain to 2015 A8's and not 2016 A8's. I feel bad for the guys that are having problems with the first year A8 trannys . I will not be trading my 2014 A6 in for at least a 2016 or newer A8 when I do trade in and I am sick of hearing all this shi" that should not be happening with the 2015 A8 C7'S.

Im in the process of Lawyering up for this issue stay in touch. GM knows the transmission is defective in fact they even discontinued it, but they will do nothing about it. Guess they just don't feel like replacing 20,000 defective A8s

Please see my previous thread...my car had exact same symptoms...it's a broken torque converter, you will need a new transmission unfortunately.
