While I haven't been here as long as some, I have noticed a change in the tone of C7 Gen. I've been thanked nearly 500 times in C7 Gen, so have apparently added some value to some threads, but I will admit to posting the occasional comment about reading the Owner's Manual or <gasp> posting the dead horse smiley.
For several reasons that I won't go into, this will be my last post in C7 Gen at least for a while, if not a long while. I love my C7 and will still lurk here and post in other parts of the forum, but won't be posting in the C7 forums any longer.
Steve your posts and comments have been welcome by me and others and I am sure they would be greatly missed
I do hope that what ever reasons you have will be resolved soon and we will enjoy your insight and enthusiasm once again
I've been on here when the C5 was new, the C6 was new and now the C7. By far, the C7 has fewer problems or issues than any of the 2 previous versions, therefore, more people that come and go. This is the finest place to gather information about the cars we have. It has helped me and educated me on just about everything Corvette related and on many other things (PR&C and OT). I post very seldom but read a lot and often.
I'm sure like most of us they are waiting for something interesting to happen, I'm excited about the news that will come out from the April NCM bash tbh
I kinda miss random C7Jake photos and Glenn getting a camaro is news to me, I bought all the black fire stuff to perform his detailing method, but never have enough time actually do the work
One thing I haven't been able to figure out....what's this thanking people in a post. I've been thanked a couple times and have no idea what it means.
Down in the lower right corner of each post is a button that has a ThumbsUp and says Thanks! Clicking the thing is like giving a Like on Facebook only much cooler. It lets the poster know you found the info useful, you agree with what was said, you found it funny, or were otherwise entertained.

Very good point TyBoo. You can see a lot of members who have been on the forum for a very long time and have almost never thanked anyone. Helps to spread good will for sure.
I'll always be here as the mods were kind enuf to make me a tech contributor, I usually post as least 2-3 times a day.
The camaro6 forum is nice for tracking my mods, but is frustrating as the younger guys will not search or read the owner's manual (or anything you send them) - I think it's just a function of the younger gen that does not like to read. Hence the board is littered with repetition and feature questions that are in the first 10 pages of the manual!
Joining me over there are Modshack, Bbrown and Mkw930, who also have bought camaros...

C7 general is pretty clean these days
So true. The mods were constantly extinguishing round tail light threads.

Yeah, i see this constantly with the people in their late 20s, early 30s... The brand new internet generation where all answers are instant.

I wondered about his lack of input lately...that explains it. I wonder what made him decide to jump ship... maybe more of a high performance beast Camaro? If you have never looked at the ordering list for the Camaro, I gotta tell you, they hit it out of the park with all the variations and models available.

Yes, but, but, but, what we need is a "You're Welcome" button!!!
It's so impolite to not follow up with proper etiquette!
Ten year member and still here. I just bypass the complainers and read the good ones. I am not a techie and have found some good answers to my questions or issues on the Forum for problems that I have encountered with the vette, but I have never complained about the vette. Been driving them since 1969 and my wife says she's going to bury me in one some day in the far future.
Only been a member (and owner) for about 1 year, there are a few rough posts but nothing that would make me think twice about posting. This is my 1st Vette and everything is pretty new to me on this car, so love reading what others have notice and experienced.
I'm not one to read the manual cover to cover, do reference it here and there. The cruise control temporary being turned off when the brake or clutch is pressed, did catch me off guard. 1st car I've owned that doesn't turn it off (yes, I've been told it's in the manual, LOL)
I have been here since 2009. I posted a lot originally, but over time, I comment only a few times a week. I enjoy the forum, see a lot of the same names, and typically, I visit daily.
(since 2010 for me). I comment when I think I have something to contribute...and there is plenty of good info and entertainment here !

The 'Thanks' thing just started not too long ago. It gets to be a little overkill, like 'Like' on Facebook.
Chas, it's "'curious" that you start a thread such as this and make NO MENTION of specific people you're referring to.
Zymurgy and I have worked VERY hard to make the C7 Section more of a positive place to hang out. There was a lot of negativity here, but we're working on making this section a better place to be. A lot of the negative people that used to be here are gone and I say, "good riddance".
My mother taught me a long time ago, it's not what you say, it's the way you say it. Personally, it gets VERY tiring to read all the negativity around here. Some people have nothing else better to do than to bitch and moan.....it makes for poor reading and is boring as hell.
I am a long time member with over 26,000 posts. I have not even owned a Corvette in over four years now but am still on here almost daily. One thing you have to remember is that this is an extremely active forum. I have not seen a forum with anywhere remotely close to the number of threads and posts as this one, and I'm a forum junkie for cars and motorcycles.
With a forum this active, the bell shaped curve is very apparent and accurate. It's like walking into a mall, you see it all. It's best just to learn to ignore what you don't like and there will still be plenty to like.

Is it my imagination or have a lot of the regulars left this forum? If so I wonder why.
I fit that description.
Lurked before I bought my C5, participated a lot afterwards.
Learned a lot, shared what I learned.
Tapered off, the pretty much went away during the bugs have worked out/been fixed, reliable/non-problem time of the cars life.
Revisited only when/if I had issues.
Repeat performance for the C7. Lurked prior to buying, active right after buying. 2 model years later, a lot of the 'buzz' and Q&A don't apply to my car, so what I can help others with is limited. Since my 14 is low mileage non-DD, I don't say quite as much.
As to another posters comment on negativity/bickering, I don't think that's limited to this forum. I read similar observations on some non car forums I'm on
