Default My Thoughts

I would wait for the 17 GS. I purchased a 16 Z51 3LT last November and kicked myself when I saw the 17 GS. I will most likely upgrade although I will lose some money!!!

It's a 2LT and unlike the one above, I think this one might have black wheels.

I still have 2 years or about 40,000 more miles of GMPP on my current GS. I'm happy with the car and it's never given me a day's trouble.

I guess the bug has just hit me as I don't get overly attached to cars and after sitting in a new C7 for the first time (sat in a Z06 today too, but costs more than I'm willing to pay).

I'm just looking for some objective opinions. What would do if you were me?

I have until Monday to make a decision. The C7 is pretty much mine if I want it and my wife is okay with me trading up if want.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Just saw your signature "by way for Fort Worth." ...are you still in the Fort Worth area? Our C7 Z51 is a 2014 model but like the others have already mentioned, we were "sold" on the car the moment we drove it. It does turn plenty of heads and over the past year and a half, we went completely bonkers with taking it to the next level. A local Fort Worth company recently did a 1000 hp package for us and we haven't looked back! Happy C7 owners here! We are VERY confident that you'll love it too, should you decide to make the move from the C6 platform to the C7.

I thought there was cash back on GMPP for the unused portion if it is significant time/dollars. Did GMPP say there's nothing left to return, or have you investigated this already?

Is the C7 really that much more improved from a driving aspect?

From the reviews I've read it is and the interior is orders of magnitude better than my GS. Just really wondering just HOW much more improved at ride it is.

I noticed a slight ride difference between the C5 and the C6.

Asking for details on the ride difference between the C6 and C7.
Money may not be an issue until you learn that you can save many thousands with a forum dealer. I saved about $8K on my 2016 Z51 compared to my local dealer. Less than 8 weeks with courtesy delivery.

The ride, the look, the feel, the handling, the comfort, the quality, the sound system are all significantly better in so many ways than my 2005. Especially enhanced with the Mag Ride.

I bought a 2013GS 3lt with 2500 miles on it and had it for 2 years,

ordered a new 2016 DSOM 2lt NON z51 and NON mag ride and traded the GS on it,

have driven the 23016 5 times for 1000 miles,

glad I di but there is not much difference between the 2 cars,

I like them both, they both go fast, styling is nice on both, more technology in the 2016,

would be nice to own them both

question for you is white the nicest colour you would pick,

if so then go, if not then stop,

both are equally nice and just a few differences between them but the c7 may look better once you get used to the new styling and the gs may look older,

got to drive one first as my leg and back hurt a little after 3 hours deriving, maybe the stiff seats not sure

either way is Ok as \I went through the same worry/xcitement

Yes, I'm getting the cash for the GMPP and my gap insurance back and applying to the C7. That was factored into the deal.

First, very beautiful ride you have there

Second, I'm not in Fort Worth, I stayed in Bel Air, Maryland when I retired from the Army. Have a great job here. It's why I can afford the toys.

I think my mind is already made up. I didn't realize how dated the C6 platform was until yesterday.

Bought my last two Vettes and my last 4 cars overall from this dealer (Bob Bell Chevrolet) and with the top salesman who is one of the managers.

I'm getting a good deal, but it's nice to know the forum dealers are great!

We just went through the same ordeal. My C6 was a great car, and we really enjoyed it. We finally decided that life's too short, and didn't want to be sitting on the porch one day saying "I wish." The odd thing was when we drove off the lot in the C7, we didn't even look back. Love the C7. But, do test drive the car. The seats while much better, are very different than the C6's.

And, thank you for your service to our great country Master Sgt.

Now, and I think you'll agree. Ain't that one fine booty right there?

You have mention your income in posts in other sections of this forum so you can sure afford one. Your not getting any younger and considering your previous occupation, you owe yourself a lot of fun times to make up for that period. I say go for it rumor has it you only live once.

Heck man I'm 70 and enjoying my 15.

PS it will ride better than the C6 ( I had 2) those Michelin's are much quieter also.

Chose well, Dave

Fine as a good wine
I'm 99.99% sure I'm going to buy the C7. You can round that number up and be more accurate

And thank you

I've found that in the humid summer months in Maryland, I leave the top up more than I let it down, but this is a minor thing. I'm making the choice more for the color and the upgraded technology more than anything. That the price point is similar to my current car is the deal sealer.

We posted last at the same time so when I posted last I did not know you already purchased your C7 and picking it up tomorrow. Congratulations and post some pictures when you get time !
