Sounds like you are already leaning towards getting into a C7 just from reading your posts.
I also had a Z51 C6 that was trouble free and didn't think I wanted to part with it but I'm telling you that was the best decision to go ahead and bring the C7 home.
Drive one to be sure but I'll just bet you will see for yourself why everyone else is so pumped on theirs and you will no longer need our input on should you or shouldn't you.
The C7 is that good!

Quick!!!
Get that stock plate holder off your paint and use the aeroplate that comes with it. Easy mod, flows better with frontend and wont scratch your paint. Quick!!! Quick!!! See my avatar

Running the stock plate holder temporarily since I have to run a front plate in Maryland. I'm ordering a new one from Top Flight Reproductions today....
