Brake hard a few times and you'll re-bed the pads. Squeel is typically caused by the pad vibrating in the caliper.

There was a good article that discussed the need to periodically apply the brakes aggressively to do as you say, transfer some brake material to the rotors so the coating is kept uniform. I do that occasionally braking for a few of my favorite right hand tunes in the country side where I live!

This would explain why my brakes never squeak

This is what I was thinking as well. My C6 Z51 and C6 GS both had drilled rotors and squeaked when cold or coated with brake dust.

Not an issue with either of my previously owned C5s or my current C7

O.K. I'll bite. I read this whole thread and no one has asked what drilling the seat bolsters means.

So I have to drive a brand new car with squeaky brakes that can't be fixed - un****ing believable!

- Driver seat will dislocate your hip
Driver seat OK for short rides around town but after a while you will notice how uncomfortable you are.
The side bolsters are too high and too stiff and too close together.
Your femur bone is forced into unnatural angle wrt hip socket and eventually you have pain in legs and in hips.
However this is fixable. I had seat repair specialist remove seat and then cut out the offensive bolster padding- ~$200. Now comfortable like all other cars in the world.

- Also no spare - Ok around town but what do you do if you get a flat half way between LA and Vegas(230 miles)?
You should say your having problems with YOUR C7. Mine the brakes are quiet and the seat is just right couldn't be better

Seat comfort is specific to the individual. If you are built different that others, larger torso, weight etc, you will think differently about the seats. And plenty has been mentioned about the run-flats.

If you don't like it..... Sell it. Just my opinion

Read in manual a way to break-in the pads, my problem is the brake dust on the black wheels.

I'm assuming it means they pulled the seat cover off and drilled a bunch of small holes in the seat foam to make it squishier.

He said he had the seat bolster removed. I didn't see where he drilled it.

I agree with finding another dealer and see if they can make the brake squeal go away.

As for the seats, sorry, but they won't be perfect for everyone. At least you got it fixed to where it is comfortable for you.
