Getting a new low profile jack. Want to be able to raise the vehicle one corner at a time for wheel removal. Understand there are side lift points which I think I've located, but looks like I'll need some lift pads/pucks (or whatever they are called). Any recommendations? Must they be purchased as a set of four? If I do get four, are they left in place on the vehicle?
There are jack pucks that are designed to be installed and left installed and there are jack pads that are intended to be used and removed. Your preference. I prefer the use and remove style. I have pads from forum vendor Reverse Logic.

Thanks. Do you buy them individually, as a pair, or a set of 4? May I ask the price?
I bought a set of 4 removable type. I leave them in the rear trunk cubby well. You never know if you're out somewhere and the car has to be put on a 4 point lift. I got mine from Southern Car Parts. They are a supporting vendor here, and I've bought from them for many years. No issues, ever.

Yes, it is best to use jacking pucks when lifting the car. A number of the forum vendors sell the pucks. On my C5 I use a set that snaps in place and can be left there all the time. Makes it easy should a shop need to lift the car.
I went to the local sporting goods store (Dick's or Modells) and bought some Hockey Pucks for next to nothing. I used them on my Porsche and now on my C7,,,,worked great. I leave 1 or 2 with my floor jack at home and keep 1 or 2 in the car......just sayin'
These are what I have. They are out of sight and always there. I installed them last year, and have checked recently checked and they are still in place. This is an easy solution to an old problem. I am not sure why GM has not already started including permanent jacking pucks on the car. This has been a problem since I owned my C5.

I just do not trust plastic for heavy load conditions.
Right when you need them, they can crack and possibly cause other damage.
I would stick with the metal pucks.

Rooster, any chance you have a link or product name (PM if not publicly post-able I guess) please? I've only seen the plastic ones in leave-in versions.

Used them in my 2005 and 2014 Vettes. Haven't failed yet, but I guess anything is possible.

Would you please share which specific pucks you chose?

Sorry, the pm's are wonky. In fact the whole site is weird right now. I got mine from zl1addons:
They work great, mine have been in for 3 or 4 months now, I forget. I couldn't remember who I bought them from but in my search I did find this thread about the plastic pucks:
