Default Lowering Side Mirrors

Hey guys, owner of a 2015 Stingray here. As you all surely know, when the car is in reverse, the side rear view mirrors lower by themselves. To me, this is not a useful function and I am forced to use the camera to back up, which to me is also not a terribly useful function. I was wondering if there was a way to make it so the mirrors stay where they are set even in the reverse gear. I have googled the problem and found nothing. So I was hoping maybe someone had some experience with this problem and could shed some light on the subject. Thank you.

All you will need to do is go into settings and turn off mirrors down during backing up. This should keep the mirrors set at the position you had them at prior to backing up.

Yes, that thread answers pretty much all the questions about the auto tilt feature for back-up; how to enable/disable it and that it is not adjustable, it tilts a predetermined amount from where you have it set for driving forward.

Read the manual. There are a ton of settings to personalize your car that you are probably missing.

I'm surprised you don't find the rear camera useful. I love it and use it all the time.

Was a must have item on my recent used C7 purchase. Now have it on all my vehicles.

Also, the tilt-down mirror function when the car is in reverse is not available on every C7. I have a 1LT and it doesn't have this option.

You should strongly consider reading your owners manual! Many useful bits of information.

The mirror tilts down so that you can avoid scraping the curb trashing a wheel.
