That was what we were going to do. Just got email from Shane at the NCM who advised our car would be complete on July 28. I gave him a preferred date in August to pick up the car.
He told me that the first Enterprise option was the discount rate which is preferred. The second Enterprise option is the Corporate Rate which is the back up discount rate in case car demand is high.
The NCM delivery option seems to have all the details covered for making this a very enjoyable experience.
Ridiculous! They drive the car next door, there should only be one fee and it should be a lot less than $995.
This is not a substitute for the delivery fee. You're getting a total Corvette Enthusiast's package when you do R8C. The Corvette is picked up by the customer completely detailed by the best hands in the business. It's treated like a baby while it's at the NCM. The R8C fee goes towards equipment, salaries, paperwork, all of the extra "perks" when you go for your delivery day. It's $990, but it's also knowing your Corvette will be in the best hands it can be in. No one will respect your Corvette as much as the NCM does.
can you do both, buyers tour and museum delivery? I assume that's probably two trips at different times or are they close together that you'd just stay there?
Yes you can do both. Depending on when the car is being made determines if you have to make two trips or not. Mine was made the 2nd week of 2016's and then sat in quality hold for another three weeks, so I had to do two trips.
If I had done it at the end of the 2016 MY, I probably could have done the R8C 3-5 days after it came off the line...
I am counting down, I am picking up my car next Thursday. This process has been incredible. If you are thinking about museum delivery, do it. You will not be sorry. After the money is spent, its gone but you will have the memory forever.

Is your car on the NCM floor now? I can see on their webcams several in the delivery area. Just wonder how much in advance they are put on the floor. Mine is there now but not on the floor for a August 17th delivery.
My car is at the museum now, but its not on any webcams. I was told there is really timeline when vehicles are put on display. I will keep checking everyday. Mine is a Watkins Glen Grey with red calibers, and C7 carbon fiber front and rear skirts. It also has red interior and red has marks.

My delivery was Friday 11/14/14 and they rolled out my car that Monday. From that point on, I had the web cam on my computer from that point on. I was like a kid on Christmas eve counting the hours.
I just checked the cameras at the NCM and I think my car in on camera 7. I added some side skirts and from my cell they look like aftermarket items.

They don't drive it ......... It goes by transport truck. That is for starters. Second, the museum PDI team is second to none. They go over every inch of the car prior to the buyer picking it up. If they find incorrect panel fitment or any other problem they can not fix, the car goes back across the highway. To me, the $900 fee is extremely low cost insurance to insure that my car is as issue free as can be when I take delivery. The other perks that go along with it are icing on the cake. That is why I am doing it again when I order the convertible in a few months.
At first I was not happy about paying the fee. After going thru the process I have no complaints. I learned so much about my car during delivery and the tours and the personal service was top notch. I would do it again without question.

I thought I read some months ago that now, if a problem is found during the museum's PDI(same as the dealer's PDI), then it goes to a local Chevrolet dealer to get the corrections done, under warranty.
"Fixes" are not done by the museum or the factory but by a Chevrolet dealer, just as what happens when you get your new Corvette delivered to your local dealer from the factory(for $995 less coin).
One of the best things I have ever done. I did the buyer tour, photo album and NCM Delivery in 2015 with my Stingray. Now my new GS being made today and again I am doing the NCM delivery on 9/6!! I wanted to do the buyers tour again but wife said NO. Oh well NCM delivery is AWESOME, and I can not say enough about Shane Webb he is truly one of the BEST at the NCM!!!

Anyone have a current link to this Enterprise deal? The only link I found was an old one...
