Thanks folks!

I have the big feller with the 30' hose in my Amazon Prime cart along with a few other car care gizmos. I want the longer hose so I can leave the unit hanging in the garage when I use it for the car. The reviews say the hose is better quality than the 10' hose so it is worth the extra twenty to thirty bucks. The list price on the manufacturer's page is $599 and lots of places sell them for $399 but I didn't find the same model for less, so Amazon Prime two day free shipping looks to be the winner.

I might be taking off for a road trip to Reno soon so I haven't clicked to order it yet, but once something gets into that shopping cart the little impulsive guy inside my head will not let it sit for long. After all, it was that same little guy who convinced me to buy the first black C7 Corvette I saw.

Actually, it isn't all that impulsive because I have been thinking about a higher volume gas blower that costs almost as much anyway and with this I won't need one. I have the Stihl handheld and it works pretty good for most uses, but I want something that blows a little harder for the lawnmower deck and the tractor. Soon I can take the electric gem off the wall and use it. At least that's what the little guy tells me.

FWIW, here is the link to the product page.

Thanks again, and keep on commenting. Maybe someone can talk me out of it or find it for less money.

I had used a backpack blower on my vehicles for years until discovering the Master Blaster a couple of years ago. I think it's worth the money and here's is why.

First, you are able to direct the air with perfect accuracy as opposed to trying to maneuver the nozzle of a yard blower. Second, the Master Blaster air stream is more concentrated than a yard blower. It s nice to get the water out of every hiding place to prevent those annoying drips!

I hung mine on my garage wall and bought the 30 foot hose. One last thing, if you rinse off your engine and engine compartment it takes care of getting the water out of those places you just don't water to be!

Worth the money to me!

Seems to take a very long time to dry a car when watching videos demonstrating it.

Using the MB and a waffle weave drying towel, it is very quick.

I suggest the 4HP for under $170.00 Vs the big monster.

Available at Amazon and it can be mounted on the wall, if you mount it on back board, then to your wall.

Great product.

No I don't have one but this thread gave me a great idea. I already have a 56v cordless eGO leaf blower (these things rock) that I am going to use to blow off the big water droplets so my microfiber drying towel doesn't get saturated and will give me a better dry. Not too worried about crevices and such. They will dry in the first couple minutes of my post wash drive.

Leaf blower and a towel. Works just fine. I can't use the master blaster to "rake" leaves or clean the driveway.

400 bucks to dry your car, come on think about it, now isn't that a stupid waste of money. The creator of the Master Blaster is having a real blast on each trip to the bank.

I've owned a Master Blaster for over five years now and love it. Anytime you can avoid touching the car, especially while drying it, the better.

The ability to direct a very concentrated stream of warm air to all the nooks and crannies; i.e. mirrors, panel gaps, wheels, etc., makes it superior to a leaf blower.

Is it a necessity?

No.

Is it obsessive?

Maybe.

Bottom line - we all enjoy different aspects of car ownership. For me, part of that is mastering cleaning, polishing, and waxing. I like to try all new products from AutoGeek.net, Griot's etc. I've got an entire cabinet full of products and tools to clean/polish my car. My wife has finally reconciled herself to the fact, and just gets me gift certificates for birthdays and Christmas.

If you enjoy cleaning your car, and can afford it, I would recommend getting a Master Blaster. It's great for drying more than just cars too.

If that's not your thing, no worries. What's most important is that you enjoy your car without having to justify things to others.

What a great idea! I've been thinking about something similar to address the one problem I have with my Master Blaster.

Ideally, they should have made it a back pack.

Thanks!

Dumb response above with your quote.

To each his own. While you may think it is a waste of money and you state $400, if you look at my posts here you can buy the 4 HP Master Blaster product for $170.00, no reason to spend $400 unless you want to.

Spending is always relative to the person's net worth, wealth or present cash flow. I am sure that many of the C7 owners on this forum are quite wealthy, have a high net worth, so does trying to save $170.00 to $400 really matter as compared to someone's net worth, or cash flows? Doubtful.

Age at 64, I have determined if there is a product or service that I can buy or use to make my life easier to live, I will do it.

I have had a 8 hp Master Blaster for about 5 years. In my opinion it is well worth the money. It minimizes the amount of rubbing you do to your paint, and gets the water out of all of the cracks, crevices, depressions, etc. It makes cleaning your wheels much easier.

Use a leaf blower. Works just as good. Craftsman model. Go around the car in a minute or two and those wheels are dry as can be.

So that makes you wealthy, condescending, all with your own dumb response.

Dvilin,

Not really. I didn't mention that I also have a 1971 Boss 351 Mustang show car. I take it to cars shows and as luck would have it it has been caught in the rain a few times. I use the Master Blaster to throughly chase all the moisture out of all the trim areas and the many areas it would be otherwise impossible to remove water even with a yard blower.

For you it might be a waste but it is a specialize tool that many here can justify. We have all made plenty of people rich with the things we buy. One example would be a Corvette. Nobody here NEEDS a Corvette, it's a car that people WANT but it's transportation and there are plenty of choices that get you from point A to point B that cost thousands less than a Corvette!

I have no problem with your decision and opinion on the Master Blaster. I expressed my opinion and nothing more. I fully understand your reasoning.

Never stated I was wealthy or poor. You have seen my profile, think what you want about my wealth or poverty. Your statement made above was dumb, unnecessary and unwarranted towards others.

I got mine off ebay it is the 4 + 4 horsepower model for less than $300. Great investment.
Got mine from a forum vender 5 years ago for less than $300. I think it works great and found that in addition to the Vette, it works fantastic on my Harley

I find the CR Spotless De-Ionizing Water System to be my solution of choice, solving the problem at the source.

That settles it. If it's a "stupid waste of money" I have to buy it. I have already admitted to being dumber than a **** so maybe I can aim the Master Blaster nozzle at the mode selector switch and they will cancel each other out. Damn, I'm brilliant!

Ocean fishing on Monday puts the road trip on hold so it's Home D today for some electrical stuff to power up the new Binford 8200 Master Blaster that just got ordered. This really blows.
