Default Order Tracking - Event codes - comparing notes.

Last fall I placed an order for a Z51 on September 30 and the car was built Dec 8 and was delivered to my dealer on Dec 22. At that time the Z51 and the standard roof were on 50% constraint IIRC. I followed the event code process daily through chevy chat, however I didn't bother to document it.

I now have a GS on order and sat through the M7 constraint. My dealer place an order sometime before mid July as "for lot stock". July 18 the dealer changed some options to my specs and it became a sold order for me. I thought it would be interesting to compare notes on how fast or slow your event codes changed. I was at 1100 for at least a month, then as follows;

Monday Aug 15 - 1100
Tuesday Aug 16- 2000
Wednesday Aug 17 - 3000
Thursday Aug 18 - 3300 TPW Sept 5 week.
Thursday Aug 25 - 3400 TPW Sept 5 week
Tuesday Sept 6 3800 (built)
Monday Sept 12 4B00 (Bayed)
Friday Sept 23 4200 (shipped)***
Friday Sept 23 5000 (delivered to dealer)

***Not sure if the ship date is correct. On Friday morning my dealer said the event code was 4200 and updated at 4:40 am. The same day Friday 9-23 at 5:00 pm my dealer called me and said the Vette arrived.

Default Grand Sport - Admiral Blue - M7 - 2LT - Red Calipers - Purchased from Kerbeck

Lets go one step further and add the dealer (if you want) so we can see if local dealers are as fast as the big forum dealers.
Understood there are lots of variables, such as constraints on options.

Ordered 8/16/16
Produced 9/9/16
Arrived 9/28/16
Delivered 9/29/16 - They told my dealer the late delivery week was due to a lack of car-carriers.

NYvette, that's pretty quick, nice going there. Mine was built 15 days ago and it's still sitting in Bowling Green. At this point I'm hoping to take delivery of it before it snows.

Thanks, My first Vette, so I am pretty psyched.

I came close to ordering from a local dealer, but wasn't sure I could trust their allocations and it would have needed to go on a Freight train.
so I was reluctant, then the forum suggested I go with with a bigger dealer.
I felt I could relax, once I decided on going with Kerbeck.

I hope all goes well, when I pick it up. Just want to get it home.

Good luck to you.
