if/when i need a dealer, i'll take it to all american chevy on rt35 in middletown. When i had a problem with my c6 and needed a tune removed and orig tune flashed back on, i went to oasis in old bridge. They refused to do the reflash because they were afraid it would damage the computer. Really? you can't do a simple reflash of the pcm??? A month before that i brought it there for a harmonic balancer replacement and they did a good job, until i got it home and saw they damaged the drivers side rocker panel. I couldn't prove it and thank god it was under so it couldn't be seen. 2 times is all i'll give them
Took my 2016 Z for the airbag recall and a plug/patch in drivers front tire.
Now, I have used Oasis Chevy in Freehold, NJ before with zero issues. However this time, not so much.
Recall was done then some three hours passed and I knew it wasn't good when the service writer called me.
Damaged rim and destroyed tire trying to mount.
This was Thursday of last week, car still there.
Car has 6k miles on it and it is tracked. So I told them one new front tire isn't going to work. I am getting two at no cost and one new rim. They also had to take the rims and tires off site to accomplish this. Despite having the" newest" hunter tire machine.
They are doing the right thing but it is incredibly angering that Chevrolet can not service their own product. Embarrassing actually.
I fear this is something we have to live with as owners of American vehicles?
Anyonne is NJ that can recommend a competent Chevy dealer for service I'm all ears.
Recall should take about 20 minutes !!! I took my car in for recall + lube, oil, filter and it was about an hour !!! Wayne
