Default Red stitching option error

Picked up my new Grand Sport yesterday. I ordered it with the red stitching option on suede inserts on the competition seats. The option is supposed to include red shift paddles but mine are black. Dealer is looking into it and I should be able to get the red paddles but wonder how difficult they are to change.

First picture is my car and the other two I found on the forum.

I like the red.

The red becomes a focal point of the steering wheel. Hopefully, the dealer makes good on the error. Stick with the red.

Nice.

Interesting ..... I too wanted to make sure I was getting red paddle shifters on the GS we were ordering as I was seeing conflicting info on Chevy's website. I was told by two large dealers that with the Adrenaline Red interior on all 2 LT or 3LT cars would have the red paddle shifters...... OR, if you ordered the red stitching option on suede inserts package (which is what is shown on Chevy's website).

I also looked at photos of in stock cars on large forum dealer's lots and it confirmed that all the red interior cars with 2LT or 3LT did have red. Only 1LT cars had black paddle shifters.

I'm still waiting for ours to be built soon to find out what I ended up with.

I would push to get them swapped out by your dealer.

a forum member posted some pics of his swap recently. It looked pretty easy to perform. Requires removal of the airbag and the shift paddles are unscrewed.

^^^
Sounds like a dealer project

Has anyone got part numbers for the red paddles?

You will need to remove the air bag and bezel, each paddle is attached by a single screw.

Ditch the OEM wheel all together and get a Caravaggio Wheel w/ whatever color combination you want!

Definitely a mistake on the vendor that makes the steering wheels. GM will correct it for you and it's a relatively easy change to make. Your service department should be able to take care of it for you without much trouble at all.

Yes 3LT. Funny they would do a suede wheel with red stitching and forget the paddles.

Yep! Then get some real man sized paddles.

Let the dealer wonder how difficult they are to replace.

Call me crazy but I favor the black. Red draws attention to something that, particularly in the M7, serves no purpose worthy of extra attention.

The other problem is the red stitching on the steering wheel is crooked. Mine is an inline circle, not wiggly.

When my dad got the D wheel we had to swap paddles from M7 to A8. Can't remember the specifics, but it took me maybe 10 minutes. Probably can do it without taking the wheel off, but I think the air bag has to come out to get at stuff.

The red paddle shifters look really good. Hope the dealer comes through for you and replaces them with no problems.
