If you can change your own oil, you can change out the x-pipe. While I don't have instructions, I found a video for you from Corsa, which will show you what's needed:

Here are the instructions:
http://www.jegs.com/InstallationInst.../157-60548.pdf
This document is for all 3 models. You will be buying part number 60547.
They are detailed, but I could tell just by looking at the diagram. This document is for all 3 models of the Borla Xpipe.
Absolutely no welds! And if you have someone install it, share with them that there are to be no welds. The instructions are in the box and explained and diagrammed perfectly. It just is time consuming for all the screw removal and replacement. It is apparent where where all the screws are once you get underneath. The only issue I had was the pipe on one side was a little out of "round", and I had to tap it a little to round it and it fit perfect into place.
Like I have stated before, if I can do it, anyone can.
When you first start it up you will see a lot of smoke. That is from the machine oil that is on the pipe from the manufacturing process. It burns off after one 5 mile drive or so.

can t believe anyone taking 90 min to install. unless he drives around the block, goes for coffee takes a break, in the air, oh, break time. and maps out a plan, then lunch time. you know, yes it could take 2 hours.

Thank you. I can see it taking 2 hours if you've never done it and you are in your driveway on Rhino ramps with hand tools rolling around on your back solo with minimal mechanical experience. My tech is the best known and respected dealer tech in central FL who has worked on vettes exclusively for 20 years. Tunnel plate, 4 clamps and checking for exhaust leaks- yes all torqued to spec. No big deal. Jeeze, how many CF members does it take to check the air in your tires? 14. One to actually do it and 13 to cross examine him and doubt everything he says.

Awesome. Thanks! I think I'm gonna give this a go once I locate a good place to buy the part. So doing it with a crawler on top of car ramps will be fine?

Yes. Just have someone handy in case you need help holding something.

Yes, just clamps and unbolt and bolt flanges. The rear clamps are band clamps that do not crimp the pipe allowing the pipes to slide apart. Get the car up on 4 jack stands, slide under and do it. It really is that easy.

My dealer also stated it won't affect warranty. I have this in an EMAIL. Thinking of ordering this week.

Subject: Borla X pipe question

Hi Tim. I was thinking about replacing the stock x pipe with a Borla X pipe. Would that effect the warranty? Thanks.

I installed the Borla X pipe two days ago on my Z06. Definitely adds some growl and sound volume in sport and track mode, still quiet in touring mode.

Great mod, love it.

FWIW! I did a comparo about the decibel levels and it was only a 5db increase at idle (10" behind the vehicle) and no measurable interior increase (and no drone). WOT is music to the ears.
I like mine too, but 5db is a big increase; a 3db increase is twice as loud in actual sound volume (perceived doubling requires more though).
