Not to hijack the thread because I am considering the same purchase and am interested in the real benefits. I only plan to do the x pipe as I just dont trust anyone on removing the rear fascia to install a cat back as well which leads to my question......x pipe installs.....anyone know any installers in the tampa, st pete, clearwater, sarasota area that have experience with this installation on a c7?
I agree, it's a must have mod. You get all the benefits listed above and the cost is relatively cheap. I just love the way my Callaway sounds and I can still control it with NPP.
The tedious part is removing the tunnel plate. A RPITA! I think GM could have used half of the bolts they actually installed.
FWIW! I did a comparo about the decibel levels and it was only a 5db increase at idle (10" behind the vehicle) and no measurable interior increase (and no drone). WOT is music to the ears.

Sorry it's a muffler pipe. You take off about 30 bolts, remove a brace, loosen 4 clamps, and replace it. It's not rocket surgery.
Agreed, but you know as well as I do there are some real clowns out there that claim to be mechanics, etc, sloppy work, don't tighten bolts, etc, etc. I would do it myself but I do not have access to a lift.
Is it just the Xpipe itself you want? Or the whole package with Atak? If if is just the Xpipe I don't think there is much gain in horsepower. Maybe 5 HP or something like that. But the sound is fantastic. It gets you 90% there for the sound on just the cost of the Xpipe at about $450, as opposed the the whole Atak package for around $2,000. I believe the full package will gain you about 40 HP.

You don't need a lift. Jack up one side of the car and put it on jack stands.
You can do the whole job from one side. Easy install, worth the money

I can hardly screw in a light bulb, but I did this myself. One thing though is one pipe was a little out of round and I had to pound it little to perfect it so it would fit.
Other than that, if I can do it, anyone can. So have confidence.
