Honestly I think the Oracle strip lights look better than the 2 light set up.
Since my Vette is black I will probably go with the body color ones.
Thanks for all the input and recommendations.

I love my Oracle lights...should be OEM. Easy to install, somewhat pricey, but bright as a laser. Worth every penny...painted to match the Z51.

Remember, that if you lose the reflectors, you are no longer DOT compliant. The OEM markers (side and rear) have reflectors built in so that your car can be spotted at night if parked on the road. I don't believe the Oracles or the tinted versions have this feature.

Not trying to act like a nanny, just FYI as these can be ticky-tacky reasons to be pulled over by a LEO.

However, they do look really cool!

Default DOT compliance

not a problem, just keep a roll of these self adhesive government approved reflector stickers in your car for those times when you leave the house at night and find yourself stuck on the side of the road and continually are at risk of the police approaching....

You can get either VetteFX or Showstoppers marker lights (VetteFX even makes them for the rear of the car, not just the rear side) with a full string of LEDs instead of the 2 shown in some pictures here.

In both cases (unless you opt for the smoked versions), you maintain DoT compliance since they reflect. They're basically the stock markers on the exterior with a different lighting set up inside.

I installed the black+tinted Oracle sidemarkers on my Black Grand sport about 3 weeks ago. The LED strips look absolutely amazing at night. They are very bright, eye catching, and add to the lines of the car.

Its true, the fit and quality of the plastic is definitely not as good as the stock side markers. I had to drimmel the clips a bit to get them to fit. Even then, the markers stick out about 1-2mm beyond the body. I've also noticed that 1-2mm becomes even more noticeable when the car gets dirty as dust and dirt tends to build up on the small edge.

Overall, I still highly recommend the Oracle side markers, especially on black corvettes.

I am trying to install oracle side markers on my Grand Sport. How much did you have to remove on the front to get them out. I removed the three torx fasteners and the lower screw for the wheel Spat, but the fender liner, which wraps under the front bumper, will not budge to get my hand in there. It was easy on the stingray, but it is starting to look like I am going to have to remove the entire liner to get to the front side marker.

Thanks for any help I can get.

I had them on my C6 but bought them from a forum vendor and it took weeks for them to paint them and the color was way off. The ones I got ghosted from Oracle directly for my C7 shipped in 2 days and matched perfectly.

There have been recent threads about the Oracles burning out after a few month. Mine have been fine. Not sure why LED would burn out so fast. A few reported, not just one or two people.

Fitment is a small problem. Yes, when you get them and put them side by side to the OEM ones, the Oracles are a few millimeters thicker. Also, on the driver's rear one, for some reason, will not sit flat. What you do is put a shim on the tab on the inside to make it sit flatter (tighter). The others 3 are fine.

Some have rewired them to have them always on. I was going to do that and actually made up the harnesses but then decided to just leave the wiring alone.

I love the Oracles. But it is tough crowd here and many poo-poo them. I get a lot of compliments on my ghosted ones. I would definitely get them again on my next vette.

I too ordered a set of the ghosted for mine should be here tomorrow!

I'd have gone with the Oracles but for the black surrounding the leds. I wanted a 1/2 tint (no blackout) so I went with the GSCreations clear and had a local shop do the tint

I ran into the same problem at first. However, there is actually a small opening in front of the wheel well on the bottom side of the car. I was able to reach into this opening and access the back of the markers.

Thanks for the response. I saw that opening too, but I could not get my arm far enough into the opening to reach the clips. I guess I'm going to have to get my wife to stick her arm up in there and release the clips.
