Any thoughts on seat wear at the left side of the driers seat that gets hit hard on entry?

None here. Probably depends upon one's size and entry technique.

Me either (04/2015 purchase date, 8,500 miles) but I'm aware of the potential issue. And while I don't make too big of a deal out of it, I am mindful to try to minimize the scrub getting in. And I try to keep the seats clean and conditioned along with my other normal maintenance and upkeep.

The prominent, firm seat bolsters do make the left, driver's seat bolster hard to miss on entry. I became conscious of the possiblility of accelerated wear early and modified my entry technique to avoid hard contact. I just hook myself around the bolster when entering. No trace of wear, or even shine after 3 years of ownership.

Mine is 2 yrs old with 13K. I have that wear spot ( about 1 inch long) on my drivers seat. Seat is all the way back and I still rub there when entering. And... I'm just 6 ft tall - 190 lbs. Believe it my belt rubbing there.

Is this a warranty issue?

I have the same issue with both of my G8's, but our EB Flex with 113K has very little wear on the creme leather and NO wear spots.

The cause of this wear issue is the seat design with the rope style edge on the bolster, which the Flex doesn't have.

this was a pretty common problem on the c6 but havent really heard it discussed much on the C7. On the 6 the dealers would put a new seat cover on 1 time as a warranty item but after that it was on your dime.

Same with me.

I lived with it until 2-3 months before my 3/36 warranty was up.

Then GM replaced mine under warranty "wear" standards, including both driver's seat back and seat bottom. Outside of warranty, it would have been about $750 or so in parts, plus labor to install.

Now, I am really careful getting into and out of the car.

2015 standard seats w/15K and there is very noticable wear on mine.

Nice to know there may be a warranty remedy available.
