Dude, mine had no staples....where do you get this staples thing?

The O-ring holds the boot against the ring.

You don't see the staples in your own picture. I magnified it in that big circle. Mine didn't have an o-ring and non of the people I know had an o-ring.

Not "my" picture. Picture I found on the internet to use to show the O-ring and indent. Yes, this picture shows staples, but my car had none.
