Collector Edition
So I am being offered multiple CE cars at steep discounts. Anywhere from 10-13% off MSRP. Question: Is this a car you would buy or stick to regular Grand Sports which would probably be easier to sell down the road if need be. Thanks.

I'm about to order a GS coupe I will not be ordering the Collectors Edition mostly because I like light color cars. CE combo is a great looking car. I'm buying car for me and I'm not really worried about resale as I will have my GS for hopefully along time. When I got green light to spend this amount on a car from wife ,She said one thing ,When ordering GET IT RIGHT. So I'm ordering car I want. Good luck with your decision I think you will enjoy what ever choice you make . Dave

Pretty simple decision just buy the one you want.

I don't think it would be any harder or easier to sell than a regular GS .. be I don't think you would get any extra $$ for it just because its a CE ... Kinda sucks the only thing special about the CE is the upholstery.

CE is a nice to LQQK at in my opinion but I wouldn't want to own as the color combo would wear on me and I would not be as passionate about looking at all the time as I am with my Arctic White! I think they missed the mark for the CE color scheme as many wouldn't like which is why they are like discounting because of slow sales of them. However, I could be wrong but it's just my observation! Bottom line is to get what you want as I am glad I didn't settle and went with the color that sparked passion and emotions with me EVERYTIME I saw one and that was the Arctic White with all the a black exterior trim accents.

I have to admit that I bought the CE based on the color combo and the unique features that set it apart from the other GS and mainly it what I wanted. I have also only owned CE's so I'm a CE guy! I recently sold one of my CE's that was 35 years old with low miles, 98% original for just a little more the MSRP. I would recommend to buy what you really want and not for the collectability. Whether you go with a CE or any other GS if you plan to drive it (which I hope you do!), the collectability value will not be there years down the road.

The Collector's Edition for the C7 is awesome looking. Get it for it's looks and unique features.

And if you're seriously looking, be sure to spend some time in the sticky thread for the Collector's Edition if you have not already.
Lots of info there, pics as well as a link to the registry that may help you find the one optioned the way you want it.

I'm interested to see if they carry over tension blue as a "regular" interior option on the 18s. If they do in fact come out with a metallic frost white exterior color like some have been speculating, I would have to imagine that would be an awesome combo worth considering.

I did not buy my Premier Edition Vert #125/550 with the expectation that it would appreciate in dollars.
It does get appreciated every day, by both my self and others who tell me so.
But, NONE of us are going to be alive long enough to see a positive return in investment on a production car of not so limited numbers, that has no other claim to fame.
