Yeah, it's not a problem once in your garage, as long as you don't need to pick it up often. It would make a good anchor for a super-tanker.

Hockey pucks with eye screw bolt into pucks, size eye to fit in hole, use another puck on jack for additional clearance

Or, you can also buy plastic "stay-in" pucks. I bought some for my C6, transferred them to my first C7, then my current C7. So far none have broken or had any issues and the seller claims they last the "life of the car."
