If you really want to do something unique, find a local place to make you some stripes and pick a truly custom color. Lime Green, or Purple, or something.

Thanks to everyone for your comments. Opinions are almost evenly divided, which I sort of expected. However, what is clear is that no one appears to think the white/orange would be a big mistake. Now I have 3 months to ponder.

I really like it. I see C7's day in day out, the more unusual color combos always tend grow more on me. The white with orange is tasteful, and it has some history behind it too. Stick to your guns with this choice.

I like it. Quite a lot. You might photoshop it and see how it looks if you start at the stinger and go back from there.

If you told me without the picture, I probably would have said no but really looks good. Maybe see if they can do stripe wraps? Change colors every year.

I found these pics online as I am looking for a new Vette myself. I thought they might help you out a little.

It's nice. It reminds me of the 30th anniversary Camaro.

In TX people would think you own a local Whataburger.

I like the orange stripe on white (see post # 1).

If still deciding...yes, "reminisce-able" even classic.

Further, for personalization some orange in the interior is now a possibility.

white orange stripes get your calipers powder coated orange to boot.

Default orange calipers

If you have something like this in 3 colors, I think it looks completely normal.
-White Exterior

Just like my Grand Sport that's White and Carbon Flash, black wheels, with Adrenaline Red interior/calipers.. it's 3 colors.

Totally agree that an orange (or any color) stripe with a red interior would be strange because of the potential of 4 colors...

Anyway, I think it's cool and unique. As long as you like it that's all that matters.

i agree with the 3 color scheme above. Consider painting the calipers in matching orange with the paint kit by G2 to help reinforce the unique orange.
In addition, Imho, the kalahari interior will not look good with the these factory orange stripes.

I have found only one picture on the Internet of this color combination so it is likely quite rare. But I don't know if it is rare because the combination is perceived as atrocious or because no one was bold enough to order it this way. Hearing the community's opinions will definitely help me decide.
Recently saw a new Grand Sport in Arctic White with Red stripe and Red hash marks and 2 tone Black/Red interior with the polished spoke wheels and Red calipers, it looked really good.
