2014 vs 15-16
Considering buying a 2014.
1-Are there any issues with the 2014 year that I should watch for?
2- Are there any differences in the options of the 2014 vs newer?
Thanks

2014 had the best factory warranty of the years listed and if you are referring to the auto trans, the A6 was pretty much bullet proof. The A8's have had a few issues but seem to be ironed out with the 17 models, from what I've read. I have a 17 Z06 and no trans issues. My 14 Z51 A6 trans no issues ever.

Other than the air bag recall this is the only issue I've had with my still owned '14 C7 Coupe. Others with a '14 C7 Coupe had their sqweeky hatch latches fixed.

The 2016's added support for Android Auto, flat bottom steering wheel (I think), automatic pull down read hatch and front cameras. Oh an a aluminum start button. IIRC the 2014 has an HD radio (big whoop) and I believe that came back on the 2017's.
Personally I very happy that I waited and got a 2016 over a 2014 or 2015.

3/36 B2B warranty is the same for all.

approaching 14K in 10 months.....guess I’m rare 😉. Oh, and thanks for depressing me. I didn’t realize the power train warranty dropped to 60k on my ‘16.

Neo, Rare and admirable. Good for you!
BTW OP,
if you can find a '14 or '15 Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) car at a GM dealer, you will get an extra year of powertrain warranty (6yrs/100K miles, whichever comes first). That's what I did on a 1-year old 14 w/ 4K miles.

Bought my 2014 2lt a6 in late March of this year. The previous owner traded it in on a 2017 Grand Sport after logging only 3450 miles. I have almost doubled the mileage with no problems. It's my 19th used Vette and the best one yet!

I bought a used 2014. I've owned it almost 2 years. It finally went in for it's first repair under warranty last week (it has an extended GMEPP warranty). A Homelink button failed.
The 2014's are as reliable as any other year C7. Just be sure to check the GM Service Record to be sure you're getting a car that's been reliable.

Yes, there is a difference! The Rev Match feature is better in 15 and later. The 14's have a bit longer of a "blip" on the throttle, which makes it not quite as responsive.
I owned a 14 Stingray and then upgraded to a 16 Z06. The 16's Rev Match is much better.

for the first time (in a long list of Corvette generations) it seems the "first year" on the C7 turned out to be a good one.
Other than not having the PDR (BFD)... there's not much diff (except on the automatic version. My '15 has the A8... but i would of been just as content with the A6).
