I really like the Motorsport wheels on your C7. My 2019 is scheduled to be built next week (8/13/2018) with these same wheels. How are they to maintain? Do they keep their bright polish, or are they a lot of work? Thanks, Dave

Thought I would post pics of both of my open air toys. Cannot get enough of the weather when we have it up here in the frozen North. Just picked up the vert last Saturday a 14' with 7K miles and in immaculate condition. Have been looking for this car for a year so happy to find the one I wanted and only a couple hours away.....

Easy solution is made by Angelwings Tech. It bolts in with no permanent damage done. Installs in less than two hours. Once installed, you can remove it in 15 minutes and reinstall it in another 15.

Hello everyone,

How do you all clean your convertible tops? What method and products do you use? Do you use any type of protectant/repellent on them?

Thank you,
Dale

Mild soap, and water Dale. That's all I have used on my Verts for many years. The only thing I do different is if the car has been on a road trip, and the weather was bad. Depending on how bad I may take a really soft bristle brush, and lightly scrub the top. Some use a good protectant like Raggtop, but I never have as mine stay in the garage when not in use.

Nice! Greetings from Stillwater MN! Hope to see you driving around on 95 or one of the other scenic roads. By the way, there is a small Corvette show at the local dealer (Stillwater Motors) Aug 18.

Thanks! I'm sure we will cross paths as I am just this side of the border North of Prescott, WI. We are fortunate that between Taylors Falls, MN and all points South to Wabasha, MN there are some great roads to run in these parts. I would love to stop by Stillwater motors this weekend but my son is getting married. They thought 8/18/18 was a good date to tie the knot.

It would be nice if somebody could measure how far forward the seat needs to be with the bar in. Looks like about 8-9 inches. I looked at the website and there is no installation directions.

You lose about two inches of seat travel. Because the bar turns to nearly vertical, the front of it is approx. 7 inches from the convertible top cover.

This is all required because of the way the top folds. If it were any taller or wider, or if it sat further back, the top would not function. It is designed to be completely behind the front of the seat, so there is no danger of striking your head on it, unless you somehow come out of your seat. If you are 5'10" to 6'-0" tall, whether it would work depends upon your proportions. Guys with long legs will likely feel too crowded by the loss of seat travel. Those with long torsos may not meet the "broomstick test" and have their heads sit above the top of the bar. It will probably not work for those over 6' tall. Compromises.

Nothing special needed, other than a flat soft-bristle brush to lightly scrub the top during a routine wash. Just make sure you rinse well...

Had a C6 convertible previously and I did treat it once with the 303 brand kit. Worthwhile every few (5 or so) years but these are not the same tops from 20+ years ago. They are very durable and resilient with routine care.
