From what I have read, it is an algorithm in the computer that is activated by several factors. I wouldn't imagine it could be set to permanent on.

In my 2017 GS, I never see the "performance shift active" message on my dashboard even I am always in Sport mode.

I never noticed it beofre either but I just had my tranny dropped for torque converter work so I am guessing the computer reflash may have reactivated it.

If you hold down the right side upshift paddle for a few seconds it will return to normal mode shifting

Motors5, I appreciate your assistance here. Someone mentioned that there is an indicator on the cluster that would indicate this feature being ON. Do you know about this?
