foosh checked the weather in B/G and Toledo for the week ahead. Sun and temps around 45 degrees.
Mine's moving in the opposite direction on a truck, and the weather is supposed to be very good here for the next week or so. They don't deliver by rail on the east coast, and it's only an 8 hour or so truck ride.
I think the major reason for my "angst" is that I'm trading a "perfect" 2014 C7 for an unknown commodity and thinking I need to have my head examined.
Sebring Orange fever got you, Foosh. No reason to spend that kind of money on a like C7, mechanically. If you're like me, you're not on a strict car spending budget - you buy what you want to, when you want to. That makes life a lot easier. Poverty sucks. The good news is that you're local to Lemon Law exercising it in Maryland, from a Maryland car dealer. That's a plus if need be.
Hopefully, your new C7, will be a gem.
Yep Joe, there's nothing logical about it. It's purely a "life is too short" thing, and fortunately I have the resources to support such crazy decisions.

Yea, you'll be on your second oil change before Iget to sit in my drivers seat, hahahahahha
I know how frustrated you are, as I was in the exact same position. I had spoken to my salesman on Saturday Dec 16th and from what he could see on the computer, my car was still in Bowling Green and he wasn't sure if it would arrive before Christmas. But two days later the car was at the dealership and I picked it up two days after that! So it's amazing how quickly things can change, hopefully the same happens to you as well Foosh and the car arrives sooner than expected.
I agree. Better it stay at the plant and receive some extra attention than have to deal w/ issues at the dealer level. In my case, we've confirmed it's not a matter of awaiting transport, and that it's being held for another undisclosed reason.

Maybe it's because they found out you're going to be Mike Furman's 4000th Corvette delivery so they have decided to give you a free LT4 engine in place of the LT1!
Just over a year ago, our '17 GS was "Bayed" for 3 days..... the 2016 Stingray we took delivery on, prior to that (Feb 2016), was "Bayed" for 2 days.
On the more recent one, the GS, I was told they were still awaiting a truck, bayed.... next call I got was that it was on the way, but the truck broke down. Later that same day, got a call that my car would be to the local Gettysburg dealer the next morning. All good
The truck that my car was on stopped at the Gettysburg dealership to take my car off, and next stop was to Kerbeck with the remaining 10 cars.

My 2014 was bayed and when It finally came it had 26 miles on the speedometer. The explanation I received was my car was picked at random for additional checks. My car was at the plant an extra two weeks. Check your odometer when your
car comes. I never had a bit of trouble with that car. My 2018 Z that is in transit was bayed four days before it was shipped.

I'm totally OK with some extra mileage on the odometer. Quite frankly, I'd prefer every new car I purchase receive a 25-50 mile "evaluation" at the factory by QC.
I'm generally pretty patient, but even this is starting to test me. There is a chance my wife's lack of impatience may be testing me as much as the car itself.
