Google it. I found mine on Amazon. The range from just a couple of dollars to almost 100. Thing is they all look alike, so I bought the cheap ones. I have put them on friends and family members cars and trucks and they work great. The ones I bought flash and then go solid till you lift and reapply brakes. There has been a lot of talk on here about them. Seems a lot of people hate them. I built my first one in 1999 and haven't been hit in rear since. Also if you are following someone with one in traffic, it makes them easy to follow.

Good luck

I found it was easier to get to the BCM than remove the bumper. Pin 11 on BCM connector X4 (the black connector on the BCM) works only the 3rd brake light.

I used the Geezer's instructions for access to the BCM. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...tallation.html The black wire on the corner of that same connector is a convenient ground. Used three Posi-taps connectors.

I got the one that will only flash the first time you apply brakes if you are in stop and go traffic.

Lots around! ~$10 on Amazon.

However the issue is the install. Have to remove the bumper OR gain access through the right tail light with bezel removed! Or as mentioned saw where mods to a fuse panel were made.

There was an early post (~2014) by someone who said they saw a person who sold them install one on a C7 by:
1) Removing the right taillight bezel
2) Grabbing wires (?) with a hook and pulling them to the small opening behind the bezel.
3) Then cutting and splicing into the wires (?)

The problem is the poster saw it done BUT had no details.
Have been looking ever since and no one has any details. Can understand someone selling a ~$10 device is not going to spend the time!

If I had some hints from someone you who removed the bumper, defined the wires that they spliced and if they were routed close to the taillight, would be happy to try and provide a detailed How To PDF!

Have not even seen detailed info from those who removed the bumper to access! Folks have said there are issues about connectors like some us used on the C6, but many of us don't mind cutting and splicing wires! If accessible though the bezel would be a relatively easy mod!

Splicing into the connector at the BCM is easier than removing the bumper. Let's try this link for the Geezer's instructions. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...tallation.html

Here is the connector diagram. It is PIN 11 "Stop Lamp Relay Coil Control" Please ignore the arrow I penciled in that picture.

I used three Posi-taps connectors. They are wonderful because there is very little room to work in that area. And they work great!

I tried to do it that way. I pulled the bezel off, just pulls off. And I could reach wires with hook but the wires are very tight and wrapped tight with tape. No way to get enough slack to slice wires. Maybe just my car but I have worked on wiring all my life and I couldn't do it that way.

Thanks. Could be why the poster who saw someone apparently do it, had no details as it's difficult to access and cut the wires!

I have some small 3M wire taps I used for my C6 radar detector power tap from my mirror. Thought I could clip on the wire that needs to be cut then cut it. But sounds like you would have to use an X-ACTO knife and cut the wire bundle wrapping first. Sounds more like a job for a surgeon with a scalpel! We have lots in the area where I live but hate to think what they would charge!
