Good advice here Tonia.

BTW, I put mine on life support every time I park it in the garage.

Have used a Deltran trickle charger on three cars, including the C7, over eight years. Use the underhood contact points. Never a problem.

Overnight? Seriously?

I usually plug in the CTEK maintainer if the car will sit for more than a few days. I have always used a battery tender on my Harley, battery is now 13 years old and needs to be replaced....would not have believed it would last this long if I hadn't seen it.

Plug it in every night like it is a Tesla.

Yes, keep it connected to a battery tender when not in use, especially for extended periods of time and you should have no issues.

Same here. Keeping the specific gravity of a battery at full charge enhances its life. I keep the Vette on a Ctek (came with the car), the truck on an old Deltran BT Plus, the Harley on a BT Jr., and my lawn tractor on a BT solar (5W) where there's no AC power--in all cases always connected when parked.

Yep, you are right!
One thing I have learned from owning and being around fine Corvettes and sports cars most of my life is that the freak accident that should never happen does happen sometimes so if I can take a small step to guard against, I will usually do so even if seemly a little 'overkill'.

One reason GM offers a trickle-charger option as shown here.
