Just purchased a ‘17 Z06 and want to make sue the car is protected from debris being kicked up. Getting the car done with Xpel as well and curious as to what splash guards work the best. With the wider body I know rocks will untimely get tossed us from the front tires. (Had a ‘13 427 and the area where the rear fenders flare out was notorious for rock chips if you didn’t have splash guards installed).
I’ve read that some have installed ACS front guards and GM OEM guards on the rears.

From what I have read many forum members have recommended the ACS flaps found here:
use 3X3 inch piece of GM plastic protection above the rear fender brake air duct. The OEM flaps on the rear are adequate. With all this protection including your stage 2/3 aero you pretty much have it covered well. You could also add some Cleartastic on the mirrors while you’re at it.

Read the same thing before mind was delivered and bought that combo. After 9 months I don't have one mark on my rocker panels OR on the lower fender brake ducts! I do have full length side skirts but no plastic wrap. In fact when it's warm will remove the little bit of GM plastic above the brake ducts.
In fact have no marking on the small GM ~3" X 3" plastic above the brake duct opening and it is already discolored at the edges. Will remove as soon as it's warm! Could have the other day, it was 75, but will be 81 Thursday so perhaps will park in the sun!
17 GS and have GM splash guards on rear and there is a DIY on here somewhere that I used to install Oriley generic guards on front. Look good and hardly notice them and they work great. Over a yr and not a rock or sand chip anywhere plus I have the std. GS side skirts. I cleaned the front splash guards last week and they felt like they had been sand plasted from all the sand the big tires kick up, glad I have them.
..... Cleartastic on the mirrors while you’re at it.

The hot spots for the GS and Z06 are the upper rear fenders and the areas in front of the rear wheel. GM has some protection film there but its not enough an from what I seen yellows rather quickly.
When yo have the time check out these DIY pre cut kits. Designed for novices to get a professional look at a fraction of the cost. Not to mention no traveling & one goes near your car, but you.

While I find the GM splash guards to be the most aesthetic, they’re essentially useless on the wide-bodies, especially in protecting the rear brake ducts. You’ll have to go wider up front, i.e., ACS, to offer any real protection.
Nonetheless, I have the GM splash guard, combined w/full length side skirts, and Xpel applied to high impact areas, and it’s working so far... particularly due to the side skirts.
I had the GM versions in front on my 14 C7, and they do help some. I put a set of the ACS on my /18. They are a bit wider and extend below the rocker a half-inch or so, and clearly offer added protection, but they still blend in nicely. You forget they are there unless you're focusing upon them.
I also like the fact that they use they use the 3 fender-liner torx screws to attach as opposed to the spring clips.

I did the O'Reilly's splash guards in the front of my 17 GS. They do a good job, and you'd never notice they're $9.99 splash guards on a 75 thousand dollar car.
