Noticed some annoying visual imperfections in my leather on my 2017 GS. The car is only a year and half old, and I'm not sure how this could happen. All of the issues are on the door of the car (both passenger and drivers door, although passenger is not nearly this severe). Pics of the issue:
Hopefully the pictures are clear enough to see - you'll notice a big "vein" like crease running through the leather, end to end. There's actually a couple of these on there - the one going into the speaker is most obvious. The other starts from a "rough patch" in the leather and runs down along the door, but its close to the trim edge and more difficult to notice. The issue may not seem severe to some, but its definitely super noticeable - I actually first noticed this problem when I let a friend drive my car and I was in the passenger seat looking at him. It was very obvious then!
Any ideas on what could cause this? Can this be fixed? Should I take it to the dealer and see if they could replace it? Although the car is under warranty, I feel like this is something I would want to avoid having repaired since I risk the reinstall leaving issues such as vibrations and other sounds.
That's weird. It looks like there's a bead of glue that didn't get squished out when the leather was applied. Do you think it's recent, or it's always been there and you just noticed it?

I’m honestly not sure how long it’s been there - I know it wasn’t before and the problem developed sometime during ownership of the car. Definitely a very strange issue indeed I think I will take it over to a dealer to have them check it out sometime this week.
