Well, I took the plung and ordered the Black alcantara with Red stitching one. I’ll have a mint OEM d shape wheel with red stitching with carbon fiber z51 lower bezel for sale next week if anyone is interested.

if it was out for delivery today, it may be the postal service guy scanned it as delivered and it is still on his truck for delivery by 8pm today. It’s happened to me numerous times..frustrating.

the beefiness of the wheel sold me. Thanks for the good find. I offered $300 for the alcantara one listed at $369 and was declined. Went up to $325 with free shipping and offer was excepted. Just hope I like the alcantara as my car is a daily driver. I read to treat it with aerospace 303 and it keeps the dirt and grime out.

Did it myself pretty easy just pay attention to how you took it apart - the T-50 torx bolt is on there pretty good so use a larger size torque wrench - also you need a smaller extension so you dont damage bezel - i only had a longer extension so made it a bit harder

Bought a torx screwdriver just to push pins to pull airbag turns out same torx screwdirver was the right size to undo all of the torx screws inside - perfect - have to look up what size the packaging is inside my car

Few videos to help you - 1st video was good to know to turn wheel all the way to left 2nd is an excellent video for the job - watch theses videos you will be all set

I liked the straight up leather as I am not sure how to maintain the version you bought - great quality - you should see it in six days - thats how long it took for me anyway and I ordered it on a Sundays as well - got it on a Saturday - fedex

Buy a T-20 to release springs and remove screws for components to change over - spring release is very easy to do

I've never heard of using Aerospace on alcantara. Might work, but before you use it and it doesn't work, I'd do a little research like talking to any car upholstery place that uses alcantara. It is a form of microfiber and its predecessor used to be Ultrasuede.

Yes using 303 on alcantara is a bit odd to be using and I am not impressed with it either bought it for my tonneau cover on my FX4 F-150 - used it once - way better options for a lot less money

I bought a new alcantara wheel for my last car (bmw M3) had it for about 1 year.... I just used a terry cloth towel and a bit of water to clean it every so often, It held up well but i am pretty easy on my car as its not a daily driver. Ive seen some ugly ones on used cars....its easy to trash em.

I do like alcantara however if i replace the one on my C7 it will be leather or that snazzy looking carbon/leather deal.

This seems like a steal price wise...very sharp looking but seems a bit over the top for a base stingray...maybe better in a decked out 3lt z06

Luv to see it when you get it - maybe picture but carbon fiber does look a bit on the light colored side - maybes its the lighting when picture was taken

i agree, but as it’s the only carbon in the cockpit, I figure it’s worth a shot for the price. Got it for $325. I will post up pics as soon as I get it.

trust me I’ll be doing some research before I put anything on it.

303 fabric guard not the vinyl stuff.
