Default New Steering Wheel

Heads up Guys this thing is awesome and even better the price $275.00 on Ebay - manufacturers site list it at $999.00 - this thing is stunning - just installed it

Also noticed when I disconnected the negative terminal on battery - I just left range Tech and Vitesse controller installed after taking it for a drive the Vitesse is even crazier now - snappier and smoother - no idea why but not complaining - dont have Carbon fiber trim plate until Monday so no real pics yet

Here is quick photoshop of the bad boy - little strange driving a D-Shape but get use to it in no time - if your looking for a great mod for an amazing price this is it other then Vitesse of course

Are the grip sections thicker than the stock wheel? I had a thick, flat bottom R8 wheel on my S5 and I loved it. I've had one of these Handkraftd wheels on my eBay watch list for a few weeks. I can't decide between that or a stock 2016 wheel.

Thank you All - it is a bit thicker - I didnt think of that before I bought it only thing is would have preferred white stitching but no biggie luv the look

Put down $100 for a loaner torque wrench at autozone returned it few hours later get all your money back - was a pretty easy job with the help of youtube no problem - made sure I turned the wheel all the way left - helps when removing T-50 Torx - that thing is on there - impact driver would have been nice

Great looking wheel, I’m curious how well the bottom carbon piece sits as the wheel doesn’t look like it is indented like the stock wheel.

Good looking wheel, they do install them a little tight at the factory, perhaps too tight.

any chance you can measure the actual thickness of the wheel compared to stock?

I was wondering if it was thicker pretty much anywhere? I had a custom wheel done on my BMW that was over stuffed and really miss the thicker wheel...I have very big hands..

if the lower piece fits i’ll Propply give it a try, but if not I’ll stick with my OEM d wheel. Also considering the alcantara version.

i messaged the seller the question about bottom trim, but probably won’t get response till Monday.

This is also a mod, but most people assume it's stock... I think it should be!

Looking at the way they describe that part and the photos in the reviews, I wonder if that is actually a trim plate, or an overlay to go on top of an original trim plate. Review photos make it look more like the latter.

EDIT: Looking at the pics from the ebay auction, doesn't look like the wheel was even designed to have the trim plate. Either way, the wheel looks nice even w/o it!

Yeah, I don't think that trim plate is meant to be used with the aftermarket wheel.

This is the one I've been watching.

I would like to see GM offer an upgrade steering wheel as well, especially a better looking horn pad/button, the existing is pretty cheap looking IMO.
