Default Ordering a new Vette

I'm ordering a 2019 Corvette Stingray 1LT in the morning. My dealer says it will take 6-12 weeks. How long have others waited for delivery?
I originally made a deal on a Vette that a different dealer had in stock and was going to pick it up tomorrow but the deal fell through.

Order submitted June 21st
TPW of Aug 13th assigned June 28th
Car built week of Aug 6th (1 week early!)
Anticipated arrival in LA the last week of Aug or first week of Sep

Given the above, 6 weeks means timing for every step must align perfectly
8-10 weeks is likely (IMO) and seems to be what others report

My last 3 C7 orders took about 2 months, not counting plant shutdown time which will not apply to your current 2019 order. Congrats

My last three averaged six weeks. I live in Florida which gets carrier delivery from Bowling Green. If you live on the west coast it is going to take longer as your car will most likely be trucked to and from a train yard.

GM hasn't accepted a new order into the system in 5 weeks. So something is going on at the plant.
Make sure the dealer you're ordering from has an allocation available.

Both of those will impact build/delivery time.

I have a deposit in for a Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic GS and I know my order can't even be entered until after Aug 30th. Maybe the plant is gearing up for that?

Museum delivery I believe would be faster without two or three transportation mode changes going to CA

order code 3400 a few days later

Called Museum said will be built by 8/28

Then hopefully about 2 weeks later Museum delivery, after quality control.

Just curious... if you made a deal, how did it fall through?

Congrats on placing your order. Hopefully the time will go quickly and perhaps you'll even get it sooner than expected.

Not sure what this has to do with the OPs question since it wasn’t about Museum delivery.

Besides, while it may be faster, the net cost is thousands more...
- $990 for the honor
- airfare to get there
- hotel and food in Bowling Green
- minimum 4 days to drive home which means gas, hotel, food costs of at least $1k if you go cheap

I’ll wait an extra week or so.
