Default Leaf Blower...Great Tip!

Thanks to the forum's suggestion, I can now get my car 90% dry with my leaf blower. Makes drying all the nooks and crannies much easier. Cut my time way down! Thanks for the tips, ladies and gents!

I do hope you use a filter over the intake.

So where’s the 10% you can’t get dry?

Just a few drops left here and there. A quick chamois is all it takes.

And what exactly would I be filtering? The clean air getting sucked into the rear end of my leaf blower?

I've been using my 40v lowes blower for a couple years now and it works great.

I use my Toro blower as well. Work from the top down and definitely minimizes the need to 'touch paint' with any cloth when drying.

Been using my Echo backpack gas blower for years to do this. Works great on the engine compartment after I hose off any grime

Prefer to use a dedicated blower myself. Stopped using a leaf blower 10 years ago.

Find the best filter you can...... if you do it in a dust storm.

I'd use an oxygen tank on the inlet. The air has to be pure and clean.

I stopped using my old leaf blower a couple years ago when I saw the hard plastic tube tip hit the fender. At Carlisle last month I purchase a small blower that was originally for motorcycles. The pressure is fine for moving the water, just the cfm is less than my old leaf blower and takes a little longer. Also the old leaf blower got heavy before I would finish drying the car. I did try my Echo backpack blower once; too much air and had some concern at trash in the air impacting the car.

One sure gets some strange looks when using your leaf blower. Been using it now for the past 8 yrs and now that I have a C7, I'm really glad I stumbled on this for getting the water out of all the nooks and crannies.

Yep, an actual car dryer works better and quicker. And it only takes one time blowing gritty un-filtered air onto your finish and it will look like you sand papered it.
There's a lot to be said for 'using the right tool for the job.

No! Never oxygen - it must be only pure nitrogen - just like for your tires.

I was concerned about the tube when I initially got the electric blower (which only gets used on the car). A little duct tape is a cheap way to make sure it stays attached.
