I use a battery powered leaf blower on my black Z06. When I used my gas blower, the exhaust from the motor was vented into the air stream and I didn't like spraying any unburned oil/gas onto my clean car, to each their own.

I often wash my car in a dust storm.

Makes sense to me...I’d avoid the same.

Of course it does, as you are also evaporating the water as opposed to just moving it from one place to another.
Ask your significant other, how much faster her hair dryer works on the heated setting as opposed just room temp air?

with a well waxed car I’m not moving the water elsewhere on the car, I’m blowing it right off the car. Literally takes under 5 minutes to dry the car.

My experience as well-I keep my cars well waxed so the water just blows off and I do a touchup with a microfiber towel. I use my Toro cordless leaf blower and have no cords to mess with. I always wash/dry my car in the garage which has floor drains so I'm not picking up outside dirt/dust when drying with the blower.

It would take a huge amount of dust and particles in the air to cause any issues using a leaf blower. I witnessed an owner of an exotic car use one on his and the paint is absolutely emaculate. He drives it a lot and washes the car monthly.

Absolutely! And I wouldn't wash my Vette with anything but bottled water!

Been doing that for years, specially around blowing the water out of the side mirrors and rear hatch and door jams.

I use my backpack blower - car has ceramic coating - so water blows off easily - car looks great -
