My experience with my Range so far... I've had mine installed about three weeks now. I've noticed the car sounds "throatier" during normal driving. Also noticed that the car does not hard engage or "jerk" on cold start ups. Car is more responsive and no surging. Fuel gauge needle moves a little faster than it did without the Range but I'm not sure how much of this is caused by running on all eight full time or me enjoying the responsiveness and performance and driving it a little harder.

IMHO, no need if your using the paddles. You're doing the same thing as the Range, keeping the car out of V4 mode. I would suggest you pay attention, and pay attention to the car while you're in drive. If you feel the shudder, or anything unusual you may want to take it to the dealer for a trans fluid change. Mine started a little shudder even with the Range in operation at around 11K miles. So, the Range can't fix the stupid fluid GM put in some of these cars.

Yep, with the engine staying in V8 mode all the time, the exhaust note will remain constant and if in Sport or Track it will sound "throatier" all the time. My mileage is about 2 mpg less with the Range in use, not enough to make me run in V4 mode. If gas goes to $10/gallon, maybe.
