Update: Just got a hold of Caitlin at Range before they closed. She was very helpful. They are sending me out a new module to try. She said if this one doesn't work, it could be that my car is just incompatible. Wouldn't that be something?
Should have it by the end of the week, so I'll know in the next few days. Tranny flush Thurs, so it should be good timing. I want to protect that delicate little TC as much as possible... Bless it's little heart (Thanks Rebel, I've officially adopted that one!)

Explanation: "Cotter" was an old time maker of medicines in the early 1900's (some worked, some didn't). They had a pill that was the cure all for any of your liver problems. The were called "Cotter's Liver Pills". Thus the saying above.

That shouldn't be the case as all C7's are compatible. I hope the new one works out for you. And, I'm headed to the dealer tomorrow for a sit down, and discussion about a tranny flush along with a fix for the dreaded "warble" noise from the rear of the car. But, it's all good.
Let me know what your dealer says. I'm so confused about the best way to go with that... Triple flush? Single flush? Seems to change weekly.

Oh Lord child, we've got more sayings in the south than "Cotter's" got liver pills.

My dealer just called to tell me my car is done. Triple flush performed and a new trans filter installed. Svc mgr said they followed the TSB. If shudder returns they will replace TC again. It was replaced in December 2016 at 12k miles. Car now has 21k miles

Reb, I hope your dealer treats you well next week. If they decide you need a new TC be prepared as it involves a fair amount of disassembly. Hopefully new fluid will resolve your problem. I'll be driving to Ocean City soon so I should have a better idea if the new fluid makes a difference.

Hopefully all works out well for you. I have an 18GS and the only time i had issues was when i accidentally bumped the device in the socket with my foot and loosened it. Once i reseated it I haven't seen V4 since. The only time that the unit should blink is when it first powers up. For example mine is version 8.6.1 so it blinks 8 times, then pauses and blinks 6 times, then pauses and blinks 1 time so that you can tell what version it is. The light stays on after that until the car shuts off, at which point the light goes off. The Range is a great device and the people that work there are responsive so hopefully you can get a working unit soon so you can enjoy all that V8 power

Thanks Demnos! I definitely made sure the device was plugged in properly... Each time I used it. All 3 times I had the same problems.
My new Range will be here tomorrow. I'll report back after I give this one a try!

Do keep us updated my friend. My appointment was changed to next Wednesday as the Corvette Tech is off Monday, and Tuesday. They gave me a choice to wait, or come on Monday. That was nice of them, but it was a no brainer. After the TC debacle with yours, I surely hope I don't have to go that route. If so, it may put my into the mindset of trading up to a newer model when they are through. But of course, that decision would have to ran by my Chief Financial Officer that looks a lot like my bride. I'm married man....yes I am.
I didn't even get the alignment done. Had to turn right back around to go get it when they called to say they couldn't get it up on the ramp. Waste of a morning.
And I'd have to say I'm the CFO in our household!

I feel sorry that you guys are going thru all this BS with the A8. For me, it would go a long way in ruining my enjoyment of a great Car. I am ordering a '19 GS, M7. So, I have no dog in the fight. Good Luck with the "fixes".

If I only knew when I ordered what I know now I would own an M7 equipped car. The GM A8 with AFM is a big mistake IMHO.

All due respect to you and your Southern Sayings, but I remember that saying as well (I’m prolly older than you!) but isn’t it “Carter’s Pills”? My parents grew up in Alabama and I heard that more than a few times as a kid.
