The electric vette has put round tail lights on the C7. It is called the Genovation Extreme Electric. Notice there are no tail pipes.

geez you mean you can't put long tube headers, an x-pipe, or a CAI in this baby? What kind of fun is that? I do like the tail lights though. Now if they can only put some chrome wheels on that baby.

Just because it hasn't been said... Corvettes haven't always had round tail lights in the first place. Remember the C1 with the vertical tail light lenses mounted in the rear fenders? Remember the "scround" (square with round corners) lights of the C4 and the oval lights of the C5?
Of all the "round" tail light designs forwarded by car enthusiasts for the C7, this is the one I'd want if I should ever modify the rear end.

The above is the ONLY passable design alright lol..
but I love the rear of my C7 after owning my C6 for 3 years. No comparison.
This car with round taillights could Never flow unless only viewed from directly behind. Once you come off rear center the rest of the car is so angular and chiseled. Even then the sharp teardrop at the corners of the rear vents would clash.

I wasn't fan of the C7 tail lights at first. Like many I thought , it looked too Camero-ish. But it grew on me over time and I now believe it complements the overall sharp edge race car look the C7 has. Guess the designers knew what they were doing styling wise.

.....sounds like the guy that got a divorce and decided he want his x-wife back. I’m over the round tail lights...not sure I was all that crazy about them to begin with.

Sorry if this is a dead topic, though I saw an aventador-style aftermarket design of tail lights that look appealing. I just like the C7 platform so much that I'm not sure I really want to deviate from OEM-style aftermarket "upgrades" - I want to make the car look better, not different. I honestly can't figure out how to do that... no complaints whatsoever though!

After buying the C7, I often wondered what it would look like with round tail lights. Then I saw that conversion kit and just said UGH! that's REALLY ugly.
True story, after seeing that kit I realized how much I really like the rear on the C7.
Time to stop beating this dead horse and just bury the poor thing.
