You might have lucked out more than you think. I put the AS/3+ on my car a few weeks ago at Discount Tire because of an online coupon they matched for $100 off per pair.
Brought all the info in, service adviser matched the coupon discount then told me "I can do even better than that" on the base price of the tires. I had done my research, thought about it for a second and asked "For the ZP version?"
Oops, better cancel that original order and create a new one.
So you may have dodged a bullet there. Would you have noticed if they weren't ZPs, especially after doing the MRC update at the same time?

I was ok with putting non-run flats on. I have Hankook Evo's non-run flats on my 05 C6 Z51 M6 and they're just fine.
With that said, I think the car is riding awesome with the Super Sport ZPs and the MRC update. I ride in Sport mode and with the new tires and updated MRC the ride feels similar to my C6, which I love.
A friend ordered new PS2 runflats for his C6 at the local dealer, their service department is usually pretty sharp. He'd had the tires on for about a week when I happened to look closely and had to inform him that his fronts were ZP but the rears were non-ZP. They replaced the rears with ZP promptly.
Please tell me they didn't mount these tires on your factory rims and then put them on the car...please say it aint so. If they did I would seriously consider changing dealerships. The Service Advisor and the Service Tech are at fault. WOW!!! I wouldnt trust them with an oil change or adding air to tires.

Yep, said the same in an early post BUT the boss hands you tires and says put them on the Tech does! Probably had a hard time getting the seal started.
SIDE BAR
I recall Jim Hall kept on widening wheels with the same width tires and increasing corning speed! That was in CanAm before very wide tires were being built/used.
Narrower all-season or winter tires would be better in rain and light snow! Heck the other day had to use the Grand Sport to go into town when it was raining hard. Put it in Weather Mode but the rear stepped out a number of times. Also every time the right wheel hit a large puddle it pulled hard right. No fun!
Recall before Michelin finally made all-season run flats to fit, they were always saying since the Z06 came out "they will be ready by that winter!" Finally this year they were! Some folks where installing Pirelli SottoZero winter tires. Came standard on the 4 wheel drive Ferrari FF V12!
They had the Z06 (GS) front size but the rears were narrower but a higher aspect ratio so they were the same diameter. Probably a better choice if anyone is going to venture out in light snow or has to drive it heavy rain! Just a thought!

That's crap Jerry.
The boss hands you the wrong tires, you have a responsibility to tell him to get you the right tires. Unless you just dont give a ****.

Guess my point was for all season tires it's not so foolish to use a narrower thread tire so the tech may have thought that was what he/she was supposed to use.
But I agree that tire should never have been ordered unless the customer specified and the tech should have questioned before installing!

There's no way anyone would have thought that the tires being AS was the reason they were narrower. The distance between where the rim seats on the bead and where the tread began had to be at least 3/4 with the sidewalls sloped in and up like a ski slope. Again, it looked like a tuner car with rims that are obviously and purposely too big for the tires. It was ridiculous and having installed tires in my youth I can assure you the tech had to have been pushing the tire inward on tread center very hard while at the same time pushing all the way down on the air pressure pedal to send a high pressure burst of air into the tire to force the bead to seat. Not only that, but the tire specs make it clear that the GS rims are too wide for the smaller Z51 tire sizes.
