In my opinion the paint on my 19 vert is beautiful and I'm very happy with it. But someone was sleeping when they installed my hood as it is tilted to the left and the next time I'm down by the dealer I will go by the body shop for adjustment
The right to left hood alignment can be tricky as the (5) hood to bumper cover body lines need to align as well. Sometimes becomes an issue with what looks worst a slightly miss-aligned hood or your hood to bumper cover lines being slightly off. The (5) lines can be seen better in the photo below.

I was just up at the museum and looked at the NCM cars for delivery. Well, the paint is better but the rear quarters still have some orange peel on the cars I looked at. The hood and trunk upper areas are perfect but so is my 16

Thanks Kevin, I thought it would be a simple adjustment of the hood, but I guess it will take longer then I thought at the dealer body shop
I can live with some orange peel... Just seems to be on every car these days. Though my '17 GS has the worst orange peel I've seen.
What I really don't like is the dirt and lint I've found under the paint. I've never had a car with so many dirt nibs.
The '18s I viewed @ Chevy dealers across 3 States I was traveling through on a cross country jaunt in January and February 2018, ALL had OP. Every one of them.
The new '19s at a small suburban Chevy dealership in North Texas were ALL OP free. ALL (7) of them. Damndest, thing I ever saw.If there's any OP on the above C7, it's not going to be easily detectable in photos. My 2017 is covered with OP, just as every 2018, I've viewed in person has.
You flip flop so much it's ridiculous Joe. I remember a time when you swore up and down that your paint job was perfect and OP free.

The OP doesn't photograph easily. You must inspect in-person, or, have the photographer furnish accurate photos.
You think next time you could post some pics of the 19s with OP in the paint? There are a lot of unsubstantiated claims by some posters that they have seen a lot of OP in the 19s but nobody has posted any pics yet.

You've posted a falsehood, Patti. Every '18's OP I've seen has the identical amount of OP as my '17. My '17 is a gem with OP. Every member here has reported the '18 OP is improved. Not one reported an absence of OP. The '19s I saw last week had none.
Then once again, you've never seen a late production 18. The paint on the cars produced at the end of MY18 production are identical to the 19s.
Since there's still reports of '19 OP, I'm not sure that's accurate. You're going to need to provide the exact born on dates to categorize any 18/19. I just haven't seen an 18 without OP, nor a 19 with OP.
I'll post pictures soon. I am going to the dealer and will take a few good pictures. The last time I was there I was curious about the paint and it looked no better, or no worse than the cars painted in the old paint shop at that time. Orange peel never bothered me anyway. I expect it on any production car to one degree or another. Most of the high priced cars have it also. All in all, I think the paint jobs are pretty good on Corvettes. I must say though that the paint on my Ford Escape has less OP, but big deal. The C7 is very acceptable for me. I'm more concerned about putting some more miles on this sucker!

Of the (7) new C7 2019s I viewed last week at a Chev. dealer near me; ALL (7) were totally orange peel free. The finish did a great job in mirroring clearly.
.A LOT different than the new 2018 C7s, I viewed at the same Chev. dealership in January and February of this year.
Joe, don't think I will put much faith in your observations on C7's having or not having orange peel, as it took you months to notice your C7 rear quarter was cracked all the way through at the rear wheel.
The OP issue has never bothered me. A lot of the C7’s I’ve seen have it to some degree. In fact, it can vary from panel to panel.
I took a few pics of a ‘19 black GS recently because the OP seemed very noticeable.
And if you don't mind me asking, how do you know this particular car is a MY19 vehicle? Did you happen to see the MY19 pics of the black Vett in post #32?
Because the window sticker said 2019 . Seriously though, it had just arrived at the dealers lot and I went to go see it.
check out this video from CF member SouthOCBoy who was one of the first to pick up his MY 18 Vette out of the new paint shop. This is typical of what I am seeing or even sometimes a tad better than this. I have seen at least 50 MY19 Corvettes and I just got back from the NCM and saw a bunch down there as well.

Can you post photos of the (50) 2019s you've seen that don't have OP as it doesn't seem you are willing to take the word of those here who have posted their 2019s do have OP without substantiating photos.
asc709 posted photos of a 2019 with OP and you are still skeptical. Why don't you just accept that some 2019s out of the new paint shop still have OP and other's don't and be thankful yours is one that doesn't (if in fact it doesn't).

I'm agnostic on the C7 OP issue. I knew it (OP) was part and parcel of what they are when you buy one. The issue on forum is that some seem to deny it's very existence. That's the hilarity of the OP issue to me.
The high grade quality and richness of my bought new 2017 Arctic White's deep luster and factory shine , is a thing of beauty to me. A definite keeper of a C7 !
